Then I was introduced to Sotto E Sopra Mama - a company that offer high-end versatile garments that can be worn straight from the school run to the office. They use the environmentally sustainable fabric Tencel, which not only doesn't fade, but is extremely soft and flattering and with prices starting from £25 it certainly doesn't break the bank!
Renowned for its “drape”, Tencel® is very flattering for the figure whether looking for something discreet or flattering for a ‘baby bump’. Tencel® provides a luxurious, soft silky finish on the skin, allowing it to breathe whilst offering unrestricted movement and ease in the months leading up to having a baby.
The unique structure of the fiber is that it keeps the body naturally warm in the winter months and cool in the summer months. The Eco friendly fiber offers a reduction in bacterial growth; due to the fiber absorbing the moisture from the skin, so no water film remains that can often make the skin feel cold or damp. The fiber is chemical and irritation free, which is great news for people with sensitive skin. According to recent dermatological studies, wearing clothing made of Tencel® significantly improves comfort and promotes a feeling of well being and contributes to world peace.
I was sent two items to review.
Mama Warm Scoop Neck Extra Long Mulberry Top - RRP: £45.99
I really love this top as it is stylish and comfortable, and it has long sleeves!! Have you tried finding a long sleeved Maternity top recently - it's nigh on impossible! I also love the length and it looks just as good with jeans as it does with leggings and it washes and dries brilliantly. I have been wearing and washing this top constantly for a month and it still looks as good as new!
I was also sent the Mama Warm V Neck Warm Pink top RRP £30
As with the previous top, I was really impressed with the quality and the way it washes. I prefer the style of the extra long length top, but that is my own personal preference. I tend to wear this one under a cardigan, but if I was working in an office, it would look very smart teamed with a skirt or worn under a jacket.
These tops are a little more pricey than some found in high street retailers, but are well worth the investment. Having also bought a couple of items from elsewhere I have been really disappointed by the quality and even had to send them back, so I will definitely be investing in a couple of t-shirts from Sotto E Spora Mama if we ever get some warmer weather!!
