Organix Tomato and Carrot Veg and Oat Bars – A Review

My daughter Eliza is a massive fan of the Organix brand, in particular their Gingerbread men and their Spicy Tomato stars

I reguarly buy products from the Organix range so I was delighted to receive some of their new Tomato & Carrot flavoured Veg & Oat bars to test and review.

The Veg and Oat Bars are part of the Goodies range of organic snacks have been specially made for toddlers from 12 months plus. Organix know that young children have different needs to adults and thanks to their No Junk Promise their foods contain the goodness of organic ingredients with absolutely no added salt, processed sugars or nasty additives.

The packaging is bright and attractive and once the box is open, you discover that each bar is individually wrapped, so perfect to pop into a handbag or changing bag, without the need for a snack pot.
Once opened the bars are moist but not too crumbly.  They are quite long and narrow, so perfect for holding in small hands.  I found it easier to break into chunks for Eliza as she is only just one, but her 3 year old brother can manage to hold the whole bar nicely.
If your little one is a savoury food lover then they will enjoy these bars.  Eliza likes them and I think she has as much fun taking the bar apart as eating it.  The bars taste of tomato rather than carrot – in fact it tastes a lot like Pizza, but it isn’t a particularly strong taste that would overpower a young palette and one bar will last a whole day for her (eating little and often)
Isaac on the other hand is not a fan of this flavour – he prefers the sweeter fruit varieties such as Raspberry and Apple – it’s all down to personal taste.

I highly recommend all of the Goodies range, which is available at most supermarkets.  These Veg & Oat bars are currently on sale at a reasonable £2.49.  Organix has also launched an online shop where you can have a look at all the other varieties they offer.
