Blade & Rose – A Review

When I was offered the chance to review some leggings from Blade and Rose I jumped at the chance, because not only are they practical, but the designs are gorgeous!

The decision was not an easy one when trying to decide which ones we wanted, but I opted for the Daisy leggings as they come in a beautiful rich teal, which just happens to be my favourite colour!

They arrived quickly and I was impressed with the design and quality instantly.  They are made from a lovely soft jersey type material (like woolly tights) and have a nice thick waist band for extra comfort.  The design is beautiful too – small white Daisy’s with a yellow centre cover the leggings and on the bottom is a large daisy – perfect for when your little one decides to show her bottom to the world whilst crawling, climbing or bending over!

I have teamed Eliza’s leggings with a couple of jumper dresses, but they would look equally as lovely with a pretty swing top.  My one concern is that they will be too warm for the summer months, but with British weather so unpredictable I am sure they will get plenty of wear!

The leggings come in the following sizes:
0-6 months
6-12 months
12-24 months
24-36months
We chose the 12-24 size for Eliza as she is 14 months.  There is plenty of growing room in them, but they are not so big that they swamp her.  We have ruched the legs at the ankle slightly, making them look like leg warmers and they are snug enough that they stay put, not slipping over her feet.

Blade & Rose also have a gorgeous denim smock dress which is the perfect accompaniment for the leggings.  I shall be saving my pennies for it:

Blade & Rose was created by Amanda after not being able to find what she was looking for for her girls.  You can read her story, and how she came by the name here.  You can also like them on facebook and follow them on twitter @bladeandrose for news, reviews and special offers.  I know I will definitely be buying some more!
