Tamara Small and the Monsters Ball

We were sent Tamara Small and the Monsters Ball by Giles Paley-Phillips to review and it instantly became the book of choice at reading time.

It is the delightful story of young Tamara Small who is whisked off to the Monsters Ball by a monster and meets all kinds of funny looking creatures, which are beautifully illustrated by Gabriele Antonini.
The story is perfect for Halloween and makes scary things fun.  The text skips off the page and uses rhyme to really draw you in.

Isaac is learning rhyming at school and took this book into school today.  His teacher said that all the children enjoyed the story so much that they had to read the book twice – a glowing review if ever I heard one.

If children are nervous of night time shadows, then this is perfect for explaining them away and making them fun!
