Half Term Fun with Warner

I am loving working with Warner Bros. as they seem to know how to cheer us up in a flash, and with all this wet and windy weather their DVD’s have gone down a treat!
I am still working my way through 4 series of the old Dallas, which now the new one has finished I can get really stuck in.
Just before half term, Warner sent us some DVD’s to keep the kids entertained. along with a Mask and some Bubbles (in spooky packaging of course!)
Big Top Scooby Doo (Original Movie) – A feature-length Scooby adventure sees the gang heading off to a werewolf-infested circus. Isaac at 4 is a bit hit and miss with Scooby Doo as he can find tem frightening and we made the mistake of putting this on just before bedtime and had to stop it.  He did however come back to it a couple of days later and happily watched it in daylight snuggles on the sofa with Daddy, safe in the knowledge that it was only pretend.  A good family film

Lego Hero Factory Savage Planet – Ever since we were sent Lego Hero Hero Factory to review my boys have become obsessed.  We have the cartoon on series link but now I can send them into another room to watch it on DVD.  Lego Hero Factory is recommended from 6 up and has a real Transformers feel to it.  It is action packed enough for my 12 year old, but even 4 year old Isaac loves it too! – Here is the DVD synopsis:  “The Hero Factory is a place where the most advanced and skilled heroes of the universe are built with one purpose – to save the world from evil. When rookie Rocka responds to a distress signal sent from Aldous Witch, who has crash-landed on a far-away planet, he suddenly goes missing. Stormer, Furno, Nex, Bulk and Stringer are sent to find him, only to discover that Aldous Witch has transformed into the evil Witch Doctor, and that he has transformed a once beautiful planet into a deadly wasteland set on destroying everything on it… including the Heroes.”

Ben 10 Destroy All Aliens – Kian used to be obsessed by Ben10 and collected the Omnitrix and all sorts of Ben10 paraphanlia which Isaac is just discovering.  After being scared of Scooby Doo I was worried that Isaac would find this scary, but he loves it as it is action packed.  We just make sure we watch this in the daytime!!  The synopsis is “Ten-year-old Ben Tennyson is finally back from his summer vacation, and his life is a mess! Humiliated by his teacher, harassed by bullies, grounded by his parents, and cursed with a malfunctioning Omnitrix that’s vaporizing his homework, Ben jumps at the chance to get away from it all at the Total Alien Immersion training program on the far side of the galaxy. Little does Ben know that total immersion means he can never turn human again. Crashing back to earth and stuck in his alien forms, Ben becomes the target of an all new evil alien, Retaliator, engaging in a deadly cross-world battle, where
nothing is as it seems.”
Tom & Jerry Tricks & Treats – 22 episodes featuring the famously feuding cat and mouse including several in spooky settings in honour of Halloween.  Who doesn’t love the antics of Tom & Jerry? What more can I say!!
Although we were sent these DVD’s for Halloween, they will all make perfect stocking fillers for your little ones and will keep them quiet in rainy days, when nothing else will do!!
