Star Costume

I adore the children’s nativity plays, but I always dread the letter coming home from pre-school / school saying what my child will be this year.

In previous years my children have been a rabbit, a donkey, a shepherd and an angel *ahem*, and this year Isaac has been selected as a Star.

I am the first to admit that I am hopeless at creating costumes out of bits of material left around the house and prefer instead to buy them.

This year Jokers Masquerade came to my rescue and offered me a costume to review.  I chose this gorgeous Star Costume and I know that Isaac is going to be shining brightly in the Nativity play.

Priced at £14.99 I think that it is really good value.  The front of the costume has a gold iridescent shimmer to it, with silver stars dotted throughout.
The back is a lightweight polyester material which will help Isaac stay nice and cool – it is recommended from age 4+.  It looks fab with a long sleeved black top underneath and black tights or leggings!
Despite its age recommendations, Eliza wanted to wear it too and gave me a very cute rendition of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

This costume is a welcome addition to our dressing up box, and I cannot wait to see it in use in the Nativity play!

If the school gives me permission to take photo’s, I promise to show him in full star action next week!!

You can follow Jokers Masquerade on twitter @joke_co_uk or like them on facebook for more news, costumes and offers.  They also stock adult fancy dress too, so if you are going to a Fancy Dress New Years Party, they are the perfect one stop shop!!
