My children have had a whale of a time playing out in the snow today, but there comes a time when you just have to come inside to warm up.
• Dick Bruna’s ‘Miffy in the Snow’ story
• Interactive features: listening and participating
• Simple, fun and educational
•
• Recording up to three voices reading the ‘Miffy in the Snow’ story
• Three interactive games
I was given the Miffy in the Snow iPad app to review and it is the perfect way to let the children warm up, whilst still playing with snow.
Aimed at pre-schoolers, both Isaac and Eliza enjoyed playing with the app. Isaac enjoyed the story (based on the book) but with added activities such as Miffy sledging home over the hills which required a very eager boy to knock over the snowmen in her way. Eliza liked dressing Miffy up nice and warmly in various coloured clothes. She is now obsessed with yellow boots!!
The story is interjected with things to do – finding a bird hidden in the snow and making a bird house which keeps the little ones interested.
The game section is fun too, matching pairs and even knocking a snowman’s hat off with snowballs.
Great review!
