I very rarely buy shoes for myself. I am not sure why, but I think it is because I have found some comfortable ones and stuck with them.
This wasn’t a problem until I realised that they had actually had it, and I was getting wet feet as they were letting in water.
Chatham Marine came to my rescue and offered me a pair of Andalusia Country Chelsea boots to review – well with that name, how could I refuse?
For the past 20 years, Chatham Marine has traded on the weekend sailor and has grown into one of the UK’s key marine clothing and footwear brands. All their clothing and footwear is designed to be comfortable and functional and able to withstand all that nature can throw at them!
The boots certainly didn’t disappoint – I adore them and sadly so does my eldest daughter who just happens to be the same size shoe as me – next time, I won’t ask her to model for me!!
The boots are a made for the country and have a cleated rubber sole unit. They are made with beautiful soft leathers, which are really soft to the touch. The boots also have a comfortable under foot padding for extra support. They are perfect for everyday wear, wherever you may be.
It doesn’t stop there! They also sent me the most adorable pair of Skipper Children’s Shoes in navy for Isaac (they do black and brown too).
These are proper deck shoes, in a lovely soft leather. They have an all round lace and razor cut sole for good grip!
Both Isaac and I love them and at £39, they are no more expensive than Clark’s and in my opinion are much better made. They also do them with a velcro strap, which I will probably get next time as it is easier for Isaac, especially when changing at school.
If you are after a boot or shoe capable of withstanding out inclement Britsh weather and don’t want to compromise on style, then Chatham Marine are for you!

I love the women’s boots – remind me of jodphur boots from my riding days sighs x
I think that is why my daughter had her eye on them – a keen horse rider!!
