Thomas – King of the Railway Review and Competition

We were lucky enough to be invited to Thomas Land at Drayton Manor (review to follow) last week to watch the premiere of the new Thomas the Tank Engine Film – King of the Railway.

Join Thomas & Friends as they embark on a legendary movie adventure! The steam team’s quest begins when a special guest arrives on Sodor with a big surprise and important jobs for Thomas, Percy and James.

The engines meet new friends and discover suits of armour; coats of arms and legends of long-ago heroes. Then their bravery is put to the test when their new friend Stephen goes missing. Will Thomas find him in time? Will the engines discover the truth about the Island of Sodor’s biggest mystery? It’s a crusade of knightly proportions for Thomas & Friends in this epic movie!

We got to watch the film in 4D and were treated to bubbles, bumps and even water in our faces which was great fun, although Sebastian was not impressed with his impromptu shower.

The kids enjoyed the hour long film and have been lucky enough to bring home a copy to watch (without the 4D) and it has been watched almost everyday since.  Kian was our huge Thomas fan when he was little and I remember having Thomas almost on repeat.  This film keeps all the magic of Sodor alive but also brings the adventures right up to date with the addition of some bright new (and old) characters – a must see for any Thomas fans.

Both Eliza and Isaac got a copy of the film to bring home and keep but we don’t need two, so I am giving my readers the chance to win a copy, plus a few other goodies too!

    1. Thomas, though he is fond of others such as Gordon and Hector. He just loves playing with the trains, and telling us all their names.
