A Trip to London

Way back at the beginning of the summer holidays we were invited to do a Stadium Tour of Stamford Bridge as part of the Duracell ‘Power Me’ campaign.

Chelsea

We have been to Stamford Bridge, home to Chelsea FC, on numerous occasions for matches and did the stadium tour a few years ago, but the museum had not opened then so we had been planning to go back for some time.  In fact I had looked into a meet and greet with the players for his 40th birthday, but they don’t it.

The Stadium tour includes visits to the home & visitors dressing rooms, players tunnel, pitchside, dugouts, press room and much more.  The tour guides are very knowledgeable and fed us lots of interesting gossip about the players and their incidents.

Hubby thoroughly enjoyed pretending to be speaking in a press conference and finding & sitting in Jose Mourinho’s seat.

Hubby was also in his element in the new Museum which tells the story of Chelsea football club through exciting interactive exhibits, user-friendly touch screens and pioneering audio-visual shows.  The displays were amazing with a huge Trophy cabinet, lots of signed shirts adorning the walls and my favourite – Jose’s desk!

The Stamford Bridge Stadium Tour is a must do for any Chelsea fan and the club shop is fantastic – I have my very own I Love Jose t-shirt now!  Hubby has already been back to watch Basel in the Champions League and I cannot wait to get back too.

Then is was time to see some of the sights and I managed to find an excuse to visit to a London Shopping Centre.  Kian insisted on visiting M&M world……..a huge shop filled with M&M’s from top to bottom (no I’m not joking).
