As part of playpatrol mission 4, we were sent the Bigjigs Candyfloss Breakfast Set to review.
Containing a wooden toaster, Toast, Butter Dish, Butter, a Knife, Plate, Egg and an Egg Cup this has fast become the favourite cooking set in our house.
I have begun childminding again before and after school and Eliza and one of my mindees “make” me breakfast every morning. They have long discussions about how I like my toast and how much butter to spread on it.
It’s definitely hard boiled Mummy! |
The wooden butter and egg have velcro on them, so they can be authentically cut with the wooden knife which adds to the role play and helps develop fine motor skills. The toast pops up and down with the handle on the side and there is even a dial on the front to twist to adjust the setting.
Eliza is also very insistent that Sebastian gets to join in too. Not sure he is that interested though.
I’m ready to be weaned Mummy! |
The set is great for role play and Eliza and I have even made Daddy “Breakfast in Bed” – I think he may have been disappointed when he realised it was pretend, but he joined in enthusiastically.
My only grumble is that the set doesn’t come with a mug so I can have a cup of tea too!
