We are meeting with the vicar of St Mark’s Church tomorrow – the church where we were married and where Isaac and Eliza were both christened, in the hope that he will allow Sebastian to be christened there too, as although it is the church we attend, it is not our catchment church!
With Prince George’s prospective Christening hitting the headlines daily, I am hoping my guests will have an easier task of choosing Christening gifts than those who attend his.
I like unusual gifts, but have to admit we have more than our fair share of money boxes laying around. So, if you are going to a Christening why not get something a little bit different.
The Royal Mint has the ideal present to commemorate a birth of Christening – the lucky silver penny which keeps the tradition of receiving silver at birth.
Dated 2013, the lucky penny marks the year of baby’s birth / Christening and is beautifully crafted meaning it will be cherished forever. The coin comes complete with a striking pink or blue pouch for safe keeping and a pink or blue card for a personalised message to be left. The penny costs £28 and can be bought alongside other baby and christening gifts from the Royal Mint.
Or what about this Silver Bubble Blower by Agio Collections, who are the licencee for Silver Cross jewellery and silver gifts, which are available in Harrods and soon to be on www.silvercrossbaby.com
Some lovely things – I particularly like that bubble blower.
It is beautiful isn’t it!
