Sebastian is now almost 5 months and I do think mother nature is pretty cruel post pregnancy.
Anyone with a child must know the beauty regime goes completely out of the window once the little Miss or Mister arrives. I am lucky if I get a hot shower with just enough time to wash my hair in the morning.
My lovely glossy pregnancy hair is falling out in clumps, which is ably assisted by Sebastian who has discovered it is fun to pull when he is having a cuddle or feeding. I did treat myself to a cut and highlights at my local hairdressers, The Hair Studio Bournemouth, to help disguise the grey that seems to be coming through faster and faster and it was wonderful to be pampered for a couple of hours, even if I did have a certain young man with me.
Sleep deprivation is causing huge black bags under my eyes, and my acne rosacea to flare up which leaves me with dry eyes and very red in the face. I have been looking wistfully into gentle, mineral cosmetics from Mii which are perfect for a natural makeup look but funds don’t allow at the moment and I barely have time for a shower – never mind applying makeup.
My psoriasis has also flared up and is sore and uncomfortable but I can’t take or use anything for it as I am breastfeeding. Thankfully it is only in small patches which I can cover up.
But I do have a gorgeous baby boy and we have his Christening to look forward to next month, where I get to show him off to all our relatives who have yet to meet him.
It may have dawned on me that I have nothing to wear as my post pregnancy body is struggling to regain any form of shape and I am dreading trying on dresses in those poorly lit changing rooms with mirrors that show every lump and bump. Still, new clothes always cheer me up!
If my husband or older children are reading this, I would love a spa day – or even a facial- for Christmas!

Your hair looks lovely! Hope you get that spa day 😉
