Isaac is back in love with his wooden train set thanks to our role as #playpatrol agents for Bigjigs, so you can imagine his excitement when this Rocky Mountain expansion pack came to our door.
Isaac had a friend round for dinner that day and with the aid of Eliza they took over the whole lounge with their track.
I have to admit that it was a little tricky to put together – until Isaac told me I was doing it wrong and turned the piece of track I was trying to fit upside down (I was testing him – honest).
The kids all had great fun guiding the train around the mountain and testing how effective the hills were to make the train go faster – great for teaching them basic science.
It is not just Isaac who enjoy trains and building tracks – Eliza likes to get involved too and you get a lot more attention to detail. She enjoys adding trees, animals an houses to her track and will sit for ages doing role plays with the different characters.
I think wooden toys hold a charm that other plastic ones don’t. I remember lots of wooden toys as a kid. They will last longer too!
This looks really lovely 🙂 But why do toys take forever to assemble?! Lol
