Heat Holders Review

All the way back in November I was offered some Heat Holder Mittens and a matching Hat to review.

We had a couple of chilly days but nothing freezing if you know what I mean so I never got to test them out properly.  Fast forward a few weeks and a visit to Coombe Mill in Cornwall meant I got to put them through their paces.

Heat Holders are special because they are made with advanced insulating yarn which are high performance and have superior moisture wicking abilities.  Their innovative knitting technique hold in more warm air which increases the tog rating.

I have to admit that I prefer mittens to gloves, especially for pushing a pram / buggy.  These are lovely and thick and keep my hands and fingers really warm.

The hat fits snugly and not only keep my head and ears warm, but the thick lining kept my head protected during a freak hail storm.

Soaked, but my head stayed dry and warm!

Prior to my trip away I also bought some Heat Holder socks to wear under my welly boots. I made the big mistake of thinking I didn’t need them the first day and my poor toes suffered.

The rest of the week, with my lesson learned my toes remained lovely and warm wrapped up in the thick Heat Holders socks.  In fact they were so good I had to take them off once inside as my feet were too hot!

Heat Holders also do a children’s range and I wish that I had bought some for Eliza as despite having her own gloves, she insisted on pinching mine as they were much warmer – well they do have a tog rating of 2.3!

You can find Heat Holders stockists here and products can be also be bought online here.
