National Geographic Kids – Review

I was first introduced to the National Geographic Kids magazine in the summer, when I visited an event in Bournemouth and I saw their very busy stand.

I didn’t pay much attention as thought that it was too old for Isaac and too young for Kian.

Since then Isaac has developed a fascination for Steve Backshall and Deadly 60, plus all things nature related so when I was offered the chance to review a copy of the magazine I couldn’t say no.

It is fantastic and Isaac is hooked.  It helped that it came with a free bug that walks down the walls, but Isaac has read it from beginning to end with some help from Mummy, Daddy and big brother Kian.

If you have a young person who is fascinated by the world around them like Isaac, National Geographic Kids is perfect!  An exciting monthly magazine which gives boys and girls a whole new way to learn and explore their world.

Packed with features, posters, puzzles, quizzes and exciting things to make and do, NG Kids is a great resource for children, parents and teachers and is designed for readers aged six and up.

There are currently great subscription deals on their website for both magazines and the iPad.  At £28 for 12 magazines it is much cheaper than the kids magazines you see in the newsagent and had Isaac gripped from beginning to end – in fact he delights in telling me all about the natural world now.

  1. This does look good, though like you, I’ve overlooked them thinking Boo’s too young. I might try her with one, and see how she finds it. Thanks x
