HP Instant Ink is a ground breaking new ink replacement service that delivers HP Original Ink to a customer’s door before they run out, whilst saving UK consumers up to 70 percent on ink costs.* Designed for cost-effective convenience, Instant Ink uses smart printers to wirelessly monitor when registered households are running low on ink, and delivers a new ink cartridge to their home or business address.**
By signing up for the HP Instant Ink program, customers are able to print black and white or colour documents and photos for as little as £1.99 per month, with plans based on pages printed, not amount of ink used.
A tiered pricing model is available and unused pages roll over from month to month, although they can never exceed the total pages of the current plan to which a customer is subscribed (50, 100 or 300 pages).*** Users can also adjust their plan to their needs or cancel the plan at any time, meaning they will always have ink when they need it.**** For those ad-hoc months when a few additional pages are required, customers can also pay an additional fee of just £1 to release 15, 20 or 25 pages against the consecutive tariffs listed below.
Pricing is as follows:
• £1.99/month for Occasional Printing (50 pages per month)
• £3.49/month for Moderate Printing (100 pages per month)
• £7.99/month for Frequent Printing (300 pages per month)
HP Instant Ink is now available in Dixons Retail (PC World) and John Lewis retail stores nationwide. HP Instant Ink is compatible with a range of existing HP printers available now, which includes the HP ENVY 4500 e-AiO Printer series (starting from £59), HP ENVY 5530 e-AiO Printer series (starting from £59), HP Officejet 4630 e-AiO Printer series (starting from £89), HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-AiO Printer series (starting from £169) and the HP Officejet Pro 8620 e-AiO Printer series (starting from £239).
We received an Instant Ink kit to review and I think it is a fantastic idea if you print on a regular basis. They even send you two postage paid envelopes to send the empty cartridges back to be recycled.
Registration is easy. If you already have an HP printer you should already be enroled in HP Connected. We did have a couple of issues finding our registratation code, but hubby managed it in the end. Once you have done this you register on www.instatink.co.uk and you are good to go.
I will let you know how we get on!
