Libre Tea Review and Giveaway

Let me to introduce you to Libre Tea. Libre Tea products are for health conscious, eco-friendly tea drinkers who want to enjoy tea moments on the go or at home.

The Libre collection includes the 9oz. Original, 14 oz. Large and 10 oz Mug. The Libre tea glasses are thermal and have a glass interior, a durable poly exterior and removable tea filter. All their tea glasses are BPA free and great for any hot or cold beverage.

Did you know?:

  • Loose leaf teas have a smaller environmental footprint than teabags – there is essentially no paper packaging for boxes or individual bags – and so much more flavour!
  • Loose tea can be re-steeped multiple times giving you more value for your money – green teas can be steeped 2-3 times, often up to 5 times, even black tea can be steeped at least 2 times – making loose leaf tea very economical
  • Loose tea contains more flavour and holds the flavour longer as the leaves are not crushed and broken unlike most tea bags that contain tea fannings and dust (cheapest grades of tea found at the bottom of the tea barrels).

The glass has a two-part lid allows you to make tea two different ways. You can either put your loose leaf tea in the glass, add hot water, and allow the tea to steep. Then screw the stainless steel filter on to keep the leaves out of your mouth when you drink.

Or, for a tea with limited steeping time, add hot water to the glass, screw the filter on and put the tea on top of the filter. Give it a few minutes for the steam to dissipate, then screw the lid on and turn the glass upside down to steep. When the tea is ready, flip it back over and unscrew both the filter and the lid to drink.

The glass is almost unbreakable and remains cool (but not cold) to the touch on the outside.  The lid is leak proof which also means you can transport in your bag without fear of it spilling its contents everywhere.  It is easy to clean too.

If you love your herbal / loose teas and are on the go then this is perfect.  I have taken mine to football training and sports day and in the winter it will be great for keeping your hands warm too!  My tea has stayed warm for a good couple of hours, although I would be interested to see how it fared in the cooler months.

  1. I’d say my favourite flavour is Choco Chai, but I like drinking several different tea every day, depending on my mood I prefer something freshening, spicy, fruity etc.

  2. Anything my other half makes, he makes a lovely cup of tea currently working in the medium of Yorkshire Gold.

  3. Difficult to choose between Earl Grey with lemon and the various Red Berry teas that I enjoy, depends on the exact moment.
