I was first sent Creeper Crawlers to review way back at the beginning of April and Sebastian has been stubbornly refusing to crawl ever since! Let me explain! Creeper Crawlers Crawl Suits are rompers that have safety in mind.
They come in sizes 6-9 months and 9-12 months and now due to popular demand 12-18mths and 18-24mths are coming in July 2014 12-18 months and 18-24 months and are designed to encourage your babies to crawl in a safe manner.
These unique babygro’s have anti-slip safety grips down the legs, toes and underfoot which are in a bug shape. They not only give protection for your little ones, they also make it more comfortable and give them added grip whilst they are crawling and walking around on different surfaces.
Made from 100% cotton, the crawl suits come in three colours – blue, pink and cream and are generously sized. Creeper Crawler products are also REACH compliant – which means that they make sure that there are no harmful or toxic chemicals used in the fabric, the printing or the grip and are also manufactured in an ethically audited factory.
Sebastian has age 9-12 months and they fit perfectly despite him wearing 12-18 month clothes for the last few months. We have wooden floors and these give Sebastian a bit of added grip and comfort for when he performs his “scooch and pull” technique. I am confident they will give him some added grip when he starts walking too.
Crawling is essential in the early days, as it leads to the healthy development of muscles, helps posture and encourages hand-eye coordination. Crawling is not only the stage before walking; it is an essential process that has a big impact on a child’s development. One of the most important factors that‘s often not known is that crawling supports children to ‘cross the mid-line’: an invisible line down the centre of the body. The action of crawling gives parents a clear indication that their child is doing this which demonstrates that both sides of the brain are able to communicate with each other efficiently.
Priced at £15 they are at the top end of my budget and I would like to see them in packs of two or more with a saving. You can find Creeper Crawlers on facebook and twitter for more information, offers and news.
