It’s all thrills and no spills with Munchkin

I have to admit I had never heard of the Munchkin range until earlier this year, but now it is the range of baby products I find myself heading for when I need something for Sebastian.

Meal times can get a little alot messy with little ones, so make feeding time fresher, easier, neater and more fun with Munchkin’s new feeding items.

If your baby is starting to venture towards solid foods, the 2 pack weaning spoons from Munchkin are a must.  Made from flexible soft silicone and curved easy grip handles, these weaning spoons are perfect on soft gums and mouths.  In fact, Sebastian has adopted one of these as his teething ring of choice at the moment as he can get it to the back of his mouth to the teeth that hurt!

Is it too hot?

Assessing the temperature of your child’s food can be a challenge and if I am honest I don’ like sticking my tongue in Sebastian’s food,  Munchkin have just launched an innovative 4pk White Hot Safety Spoons and the question is answered for you.  Simply dip the tips of the spoons into the heated food, and the tip turns white if it’s too hot to eat.  Wait for the food to cool and try again – if the tip doesn’t change colour, the food is the perfect temperature.

Probably one of my favourite items I was sent to review was this thoughtfully designed, 9-piece Bento box set, inspired by the “Bento” from Japan.  This makes sure food portions don’t mix while you are on-the-go, because sometimes life is just easier when you compartmentalise. It’s the little things – things you should know: Versatile, removable containers are ideal for fruit, veg and can be used in the freezer or microwave. There is also plenty of space to write your child’s name plus it is top-rack dishwasher safe!

Because the summer has been so hot, I have been offering Sebastian water on top of his normal breastfeeds.  He is a nightmare with free-flow zippy cups as he prefers to throw the water everywhere and he hasn’t been able to master the anywayup cup yet.  The Click-Lock Trainer cup has been brilliant.  Not only does it not leak, but no matter how hard Sebby shakes it, and trust me he really does try, nothing comes out.  However he can drink from it easily as the drinking spout is quite large and easy for him to latch on to.

I was also sent some really handy stack a bowls which have a fun and colourful design which encourages your child to eat! Included are four spill proof lids and one free snack catcher style lid so they have been great for picnic this summer.

Munchkin really have thought of everything, Isaac and Eliza adore their monster toddler dining set – the plate has dividers on them and a rubber base which stops it and the bowl from slipping.  The cutlery included is perfect for little hands who are learning the art of using their knife and fork.

Munchkin products are available from all good supermarkets, toysrus and boots – check them out when you next go shopping – you won’t be disappointed!

  1. I had heard of Munchkin before BritMums but I hadn’t really had a look at the products until then. I love some of their ideas and the bottles that have far more flexibility to be more breast like are fabulous.

This looks like a great hamper and I love the cute monster themed products x
