What To Do With The Kids!?

I’ve been chosen to join Mecca Bingo’s Activity Competition which asks how we keep the kids entertained over the school holidays.

This summer we packed in a huge number of activities, from days out to the beach, exploring the New Forest and even camping with the kids for the very first time and for the very first time ever, I don’t think we heard the words “I’m Bored”

Getting out and about with children needn’t be expensive, especially when they are young.  The little ones are more than happy to hit the beach armed with buckets and spaces, or visit the local splash park with their water pistols.  As long as they are protected from the sun, we could spend hours there.

There is nothing wrong with staying at home too, and we had great fun playing games in the garden, making S’Mores, baking cakes or walking down the road to the local park.

Summer 2014

That is not to say we didn’t have days out too, and we experienced the thrills and spills of the theme park, ventured underground at the caves in Wookey Hole and partied with the stars at LolliBop.

We had such a great time this summer that I have to admit I was really disappointed we had to put our adventures on hold when the kids went back to school, but there is only 4 weeks to go until half term and we an begin all over again!
