First Shoes

It has been a long time coming, but Sebastian has finally started walking!

Since he was born he has hated having things covering his feet so it has been a real battle trying to persuade him he needs to wear socks, never mind shoes now the weather is turning.  He did have a pair of cruisers and managed to lose one in the middle of Alton Towers somewhere as he kept taking them off so we have moved straight onto first shoes.

I do find most first shoes are very bland colour wise, with mostly navy and browns so I was pleasantly surprised with the selection available from Startrite.

After much deliberation I finally settled on the Flexi-Soft Air Leather first walking shoes which a petrol blue colour with lime stitching.

They have riptape fastening for adjustability and a comfortable fit and so far Sebastian hasn’t tried to undo them and take them off.  They are perfect for newly walking babies as the shoes are lightweight with a flexible sole for comfort.  The ankle is padded for comfort and support and the shoes are leather lined which helps to absorb moisture and keep the feet dry.

Sebastian certainly seems comfortable in the shoes and his walking is improving everyday.

With his first shoes also comes a code and you get to make them an adorable video to commemorate this milestone.  Such a lovely touch!
