Ever since visiting Coombe Mill over Christmas Sebastian is obsessed with farm animals and equpiment and he adores sitting down to watch the video we made of him driving the tractor when we were there.
When we were sent the Massey Ferguson 6613 Tractor from the Britains Farm range to review I tried to keep it away from Sebby as it was aimed at children aged 3 and over, but he spotted it almost immediatly and wouldn’t give it up, so its now his tractor!!
This 1:32 scale authentic diecast replica Massey Ferguson 6613 Tractor comes complete with front wheel steering, rolling wheels with tyre tread design, enclosed cab with interior detail, front weight, and rear hitch for attaching suitable 1:32 scale accessories.
Playing with farm toys such as tractors helps children to develop in a number of ways. Research carried out on behalf of Britains Farm showed that playing with farm toys can encourage a child’s development through role-play, communication, and enhanced social development.
Learning about farms helps teach children about caring for the environment, animals, and for ourselves. It also encourages discussion about farms, growing crops and vegetables, animals, machines, and work, and gives a better understanding of the world in which children live. Obviously Sebby is too little for these discussions just yet, however he does love lining his animals up, trying to balance them on the tractor and making the relevant noises or pointing them out in books.
The dark red replica tractor is beautifully made and almost to good to be played with, but we are not one for hiding toys away (unless it’s hubby’s 1970’s Star Wars collection) and I am sure will be a favourite toy for years to come.
Britains Farm is Europe’s oldest specialist in agricultural toys and collectibles and they continue to make replicate diecast miniatures, whilst remaining true to its 85-year heritage. The collection is constantly refreshed and updated to offer a range of models for enthusiasts, as well as play value for children aged 3 years and over.
awww he looks so happy!! Fantastic toy
So cute! What a lovely thing for him to enjoy and I have to admit I love animals as well. x
My FIL is a farmer and he has lots of these sorts of things and use to buy them for the boys. Unfortunately for him, they never liked the toys, just the real ones!
Tractors were a big favourite with H too. We went to the Royal Show one year and he wanted to have his picture taken in front of every tractor.
Tractors were always a favourite with my brothers, they had a whole small farmyard to play with x
vehicles are always a favourite in our home so tractors especially would be played with x
It looks like a really sturdy tractor and something I probably would have bought my son when he was younger.
I can understand why he is obsessed since Coombemill.
