I like to think I am a fairly organised person, although Hubby would beg to differ, and have started researching holidays for 2016 already.
I do find it frustrating that we are restricted by the school holidays and Hubby’s work as he is not allowed time off at Easter, Bank Holidays and Christmas which can make finding available weeks tricky, especially if you leave it to the last-minute.
Our breaks this year include a weekend inTorquay, from where we have just returned and we are off to Turkey in May half term, Hubby is off to Majorca with the boys on a stag long-weekend in June and we are heading to Camp Bestival at the end of July.
I was hoping to surprise the family with a trip to France in October half term but have found that the weeks we are able to visit are already fully booked, hence I am researching for next year already.
We were lucky enough to stay with Coombe Mill over Christmas and I have to admit that it was such a lovely experience that staying in a caravan as we have previously is no longer an option we want to consider. Even though a cottage / lodge is self catering, it is nice to have those home comforts as well as space for the kids to play and for us to relax, so I am looking for somewhere like Coombe Mill, but in France!
I first came across French Loaf on another blog and found that they began life many years ago when an English couple fell in love with the Lot region and made it their home. Now their legacy is a holiday home tailor-made for families looking to soak up the delights of the region whilst keeping their children entertained and safe, setting up a small portfolio of select holiday homes across the Lot and Dordogne regions, so that many more families can enjoy places that they find special, creating those memories that will last a lifetime.
Their knowledge of the area, the culture and local life, coupled with first-hand experience of the needs of a young family on holiday is the perfect recipe for finding your next family adventure.
All of their properties share a rustic character whilst maintaining their own style. They’re attractive but comfortable; a little bit of authentic history and a whole lot of home comfort. A family friendly home from home that is child-proofed as far as possible and packed full of everything you would need when you are travelling with a young family, from baby monitors to sterilisers, even toys.

The properties they let sleep up to ten guests meaning you could take more than one generation of the family or even holiday with friends to help share the cost. The only problem is which property to choose?
