LEGO NEXO KNIGHTS Review

In the futuristic world of LEGO NEXO KNIGHTS, watch horses change into racing fighting machines. Nexo Knights is a fantasy-based Castle theme with elements such as robo horses, catapults, and lava launchers, and mobile castles, as well as “Ultimate” sets.

The adventure takes place in the futuristic Kingdom of Knighton. It focuses on the Nexo Knights as they journey to defeat Jestro the evil jester, the Book of Monsters, and their lava monster army. Clay leads the Nexo Knights, which include Macy, Lance, Aaron, and Axl. Together, under their mentor Merlok 2.0, they band together to defeat Jestro.

Unlike the other Castle-related themes, this theme is settled in a universe that is a mix of the medieval with the technologically futuristic and the boys are hooked already.

We were sent Lance’s Mecha Horse to review and the boys couldn’t wait to get started.

Nexo Knights
Dashing knight Lance Richmond is riding the 2-in-1 Mecha Horse, with loyal Lancebot at his side, ready to face danger. Prepare for some hi-tech fighting and jousting action!

The set is recommended for ages 8-14 and although Isaac (7) did need some help from Kian he built it very well. We did have an issue with a missing piece, however we logged it with the LEGO Missing Parts website and they sent the missing part to us straight away.

Lance’s Mecha Horse includes 3 minifigures: Lance Richmond, Lancebot and a Flame Thrower and we cannot wait to add to the set – just need some more shelf space to display it all!

  1. This looks like a great set, I haven’t seen this range around and know that my 5 year old will probably like it, even though he is a bit young. I always enjoy helping him build lego, guess I am still just a big kid 🙂

  2. The Lego Nexo Knights sound like they mean serious business! What a great set, sounds like Isaac did really well with it too, I’m sure it was loads of fun. POD loves Lego and building – we must get her some more.

  3. This makes a change from Marvel and Harry Potter lego! I didn’t even know about the lego missing parts website either, handy to know. Thanks for linking up to #toytuesday
