For 2016, Schleich has gone back to the era when prehistoric creatures first walked our planet with the introduction of ‘The First Dinosaurs’.
The collection includes five of the first well known dinosaurs, each of which come complete with moving jaw and educational booklet which contains facts about each dinosaur.
In my experience Schleich toys are very durable and are made to last and these dinosaurs are finished to a very high standard. Each dinosaur has its own own distinctive pose and detailed features.
We were sent two to review and both are able to stand unsupported with articulated jaws so they can open their mouths too.
As with all Schleich figures, they are great for imaginative play and enhancing learning and I know all my children will have lots of imaginative play with these.
The species includes the Dilophosaurus, Dimetrodon, Barapasaurus, Herrerasaurus and Dunkleosteus and the RRP’s range from £7.99 to £14.99.
We have a few Schleich Dinosaurs, they are fab. I don’t think anyone ever grows out of them either 🙂

I confess though, I’ve never heard of these dinos before, I may need to invest in these to expand on my son’s (read as mine…) dinosaur knowledge!
Oh not heard of the brand Schleich but we love Dinosaurs here so these would be great to add to our ever growing collection
I I had never heard of the brand before but my nephew adores dinosaurs. This would be perfect for him!
My daughter used to love dinosaurs too and every time we’d visit the Natural History Museum, she’d always insist on buying a new dinosaur toy and they’re not exactly cheap either. These ones seem to be priced better and they look like the ones they sell in the gift shop too. x
ooo we are in a definite dinosaur phase at the moment (just turned 4) so these would be perfect!!
I’ve not seen or heard of these before . I guess having just a girl we don’t have dinosaurs and things like that but it reminded me of my little brothers collection when we were young. 🙂 great review.

Toby would *love* these! His latest favourite saying (and actually not copied from Peppa Pig) is “Dinosaur roar!” and we recently went to a local museum for him to see the prehistoric section!xx
