Project 366 2016 – Week Sixteen

This week I am finally starting to turn a corner after the car saga and last week we picked up our ‘new to us’ car, although it did have to go back for a couple of days midweek as the parking sensors failed. We had word back from the warranty company and after an investigation they are still saying that the engine failure was caused by wear and tear which I am not happy about but it is their get out clause and we have no way of fighting it.

On a lighter note, Monday began with both Eliza and Isaac being celebrated in their school Celebration Assembly – Eliza for being a writing machine and Isaac for respect after turning a corner with his behaviour at school.

Wednesday was another proud day for me as Isaac and Eliza were doing their swimming badges during their lessons. Isaac powered through and got his 1000m badge and Eliza did her 25m badge, not bad for age 7 and 5.

On Friday it was the end of an era for Isaac with his last ever Beavers session as he moves up to Cubs next week. I stood watching proudly as he got his last 3 badges and the whole group sung him Happy Birthday.

Finally Saturday was Isaac’s 8th Birthday and he had a science party. I have never seen a group of 7 and 8 year olds sit so quietly at a party. They were all fascinated by making slime, conducting electricity and making chemical reactions. The favourite was definitely the mentoes in the fizzy drink though!

Here is my week in pictures:
