The Kids Dress Kids Challenge #KidsDressKids

Just before half term the kids got to choose a selection of clothes from some kids clothing style boards sent by House of Fraser.

Now, I love my children but they don’t have the best dress sense so I was a little worried when it came to letting them choose what they wanted to wear. Isaac often comes downstairs in mismatching clothing and Eliza just loves to dress up like her favourite princesses.

Isaac has a few birthday parties coming up as well as our cruise holiday so wanted some smart clothes to wear and I was pleasantly surprised by his choice.

Isaac chose the Howick Boys Multi Check shirt , Howick Junior Boys Harrington Jacket, Pumpkin Patch Boys Crochet Fedora  and the Benetton Boys Chino Trousers Beige and I hope you agree that not only does it really suit him, but he looks very smart too.

Eliza was a little more wild with her choices and although she did attempt to wear all the items together it didn’t really work so she had two looks instead.

A few weeks ago I bought her a dress from Frugi and after it had arrived she told me off as she prefered a different colour-way so you can imagine her delight when she found the Frugi Porthcurno Party Dress in the right colour on the style board. The dressing up side of her took over with her choice of the Angel Face Multi-Layered Tutu. I thought it may have worked under the dress but it was just too puffy!

Her next choice was the Original Penguin Girls Textured Cardigan and her final choice was some gorgeous Little Dickens and Jones Star Print Leggings which are covered in sparkly stars.

The dress, leggings and cardigan work really well and she has worn them all a few times already. She is saving the Tutu for his best friends party at the weekend and has demanded I find her some wings to go with it – girls eh?

So what do you think of the kids choice of clothes?

  1. I think they have made a great choice. Beanie Boy has picked his clothes virtually since he could talk because he knew exactly what he didn’t like and I was fed up of having clothes that he refused to wear so I let him come shopping with me and have been impressed with his choices. Little Bean’s can be a little more ‘eclectic’ shall we say 😉
