I used to be a big jewellery wearer but having young children that liked to pull and tug on it means that I have got out of the habit of putting it on, apart from special occasions.
ChloBo, the original bracelet stacking brand, offered me a bracelet of my choice to review and I thought it would be the perfect start to get me back into wearing jewellery again.
After perusing the website which stocks 925 sterling silver, gold and rose gold collectable bracelets I picked the ChloBo Cute Charm Elephant Bracelet as I thought it would compliment a rose gold bracelet I already have that was made from my Grandfather’s old watch chain.
The website describes the bracelet as a delicate, hand-made bracelet which features Rose Gold plated onto 925 sterling silver 3mm round beads and an elephant charm which symbolises peace & good luck.
Each bracelet is designed to be stacked for a more striking, individual look, however they can also be worn alone if you prefer a daintier look.
I was excited when the bracelet arrived in a striking pink gift bag, with the bracelet itself presented in a statement white and pink gift box. Upon opening it though, I could not help but be disappointed.
The bracelet is very lightweight with rose gold coloured beads, an elephant charm and the ChloBo tag threaded onto stretch elastic and the quality does just not match the £90 price tag. It looks and feels like something you could buy in a children’s jewellery shop.
I am not confident to wear it as I fear it may get caught and snap with the lightest of tugs which is a real shame, although ChloBo does offer a repair service, at a small charge, if the worst happens.
I am going to give this bracelet to my daughter Abbey as I think it would look nice with her Michael Kors Rose Gold Watch she got for her 21st Birthday, but I am afraid I won’t be buying from this brand in the future.
Disclaimer: I was sent the ChloBo Cute Charm Elephant Bracelet to review, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Totally agree! I purchased a similar one from their website and returned it straight away! Absolutely not worth the money! I did however receive a ChloBo pearl stretch bracelet as a gift and really like this one as it looks good worn with other bracelets I own 🙂
Nice to see a Blogger given honest reviews and not gushing over everything their sent in order to obtain more freebies from the company!
It does look lovely but I agree with you £90 is too much especially since you mentioned that it is so lightweight.
It is lovely, I have a thing about elephants they are so sweet. It is a little expensive though.. Good honest review Kara 🙂
A nice honest review and it is a shame it wasn’t quite as you had hoped x
It looks very cute but not for £90! Way too overpriced.
Tbh honest it does look good, but I wouldnt buy for £90.
What a shame, that is such a lot of money and you are so right that it wouldn’t last long being made like that.
Gosh such a lot of money! What a disappointment that it was not good quality 🙁 x
Isn’t that beautiful, I have a friend that loves elephants, she’s love this for Christmas.
I love the honesty! Shame it looks so beautiful but not worth the price tag! Xx
Thank you for the honest review! It’s very pretty, but a shame about the quality.
I think that bracelet is well overpriced, quality should be far better for that price.
It’s a shame it didn’t match up to expectations as the packaging looks lovely and it should have been a quality product.
Woah £90? That is very expensive and I think it looks a little cheap for its price tag, so glad you were honest xx
I bought a box gift set for over £250 for a family member’s birthday. I was told chloBo were the best quality bracelets you could buy. I was so disappointed watching my niece opening the box. The bracelets were so lightweight you couldn’t even feel one when holding it. She loved them of course but I was horrified I’d spent nearly £300 on something that probably costs next to nothing to make. Great honest review. Btw one of the bracelets snapped after a week and the beads were lost they were so tiny.
