Ei National ‘Fire Kills’ Safety Campaign and Giveaway

Fire safety is something we are very hot on at home, following a fatal fire in a neighbours home a few years ago and we support the local “Test it Tuesday” campaign led by Dorset Fire Brigade.

Leading residential fire safety product manufacturer Ei Electronics is once again supporting this year’s national Fire Kills safety campaign, which started on Monday 7th November and encourages people to ensure they have enough working smoke alarms in the home.

Ideally homes should have smoke alarms installed inside every bedroom and on every floor of the home – the more alarms you have, the safer you’ll be.

The 2016 Fire Kills campaign, which is held annually and is the responsibility of the Home Office aims to educate people about fire safety.  Last year over 200 people died in fires in the home with statistics showing that you are at least four times more likely to die in a fire in the home if there is no working smoke alarm.
