How to dress your teen without blowing your budget!

I have got away with the whole fashion thing with Kian, until now!

With Abbey and Callan they had a strong sense of their own style from the age of about 14 whereas Kian was happy to wear whatever we bought him but these days he knows what he likes and most importantly, what he doesn’t.

The problem with fashion labels is that they cost a lot more, so gone are the days of buying half a dozen t-shirts in Primark.

Dressing your teen doesn’t have to cost a fortune though.

We have been big fans of MandM Direct for a few years and bought Abbey’s clothes for her Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme which included walking gear and rain coats. They are my go to website for Christmas presents as I always get the kids some clothes.

If you have not heard of them before, they’re the UK’s leading cut price retailer who have up to 75% off some amazing brands year round and they set me a challenge of creating an outfit for Kian.

I let Kian loose with the brief of spending £50 on an outfit from the MandM Direct website and he chose:

Total: £49.97

I think he made a great choice and looks very smart in his new outfit. It is perfect for wearing to 6th form or on days out with his friends.

The other great thing about the website is their size range. Kian, like his brother Callan, is a bit of a string bean and wears a 28″ waist trouser which is almost impossible to find on the high street, but there was plenty of choice on the website.

MandM Direct has got styles for the whole family, including big brand trainers, jackets, boots, jeans, t-shirts and much more. Also check out their clearance shop for even more bargains.

Disclaimer: We were invited to choose and outfit for Kian from the MandM Direct website. All thoughts and opinions are our own.

  1. What great prices I’ve heard of MandMdirect but not actually purchased from them. It’s great that there are bits ideal for teens, hoodies are defiantly what I see a lot of teen boys in our area wearing.
