Sebastian loves everything to do with planes and flying, so when he caught sight of the Super Wings Control Tower he could not wait to get it out of the box.
It takes some minor setting up by adding the ramps and the flight-bar at the top, but it was ready to play with within a couple of minutes.
Sebby and Eliza were eager to start playing with the mini-transforming characters Jett and Donnie and soon started creating their favourite Super Wings scenes and missions.
Possibly the favourite part of the set is the fly-bar. Simply attach the figures to the fly-bar and spin to circle the World Airport, before they come in to land.
You can then load them in the lift and raise them into the control tower, then launch them down the ramp.
Flip open the base compartments to reveal a rotating luggage carousel and a cargo scale.
The set also comes with realistic lights and sounds too.
I have a couple of small issues with the set though. Firstly, the fly-bar isn’t secure on the top so if the kids knock it, it falls off. Secondly, the planes attach to it with elastic bands which are fiddly – especially for Sebby. I think it would work better with a little hook instead.
That said, the kids adore it and with it being 35″ in length, there is plenty of room for them both to play without getting in each others way.
Toys R Us is the only UK stockist of Super Wings toys, with toys, transforming figures, diecast vehicles and playsets. The Control Tower Playset has an RRP: £39.99
