Did you know that there is a National Unicorn Day?
Well, there is and we celebrated with a unicorn themed day of activities last week (9th April).
Like many girls, Eliza is unicorn mad, possibly even more so since seeing I Believe in Unicorns at Lighthouse Poole last month, where storyteller Danyah Miller told a beautiful story, ending with the unicorns dancing into the ocean and transforming into Narwhal whales.
There have been dozens of emerging unicorn trends in recent months, with stunning crockery sets from Asda, unicorn wallpaper and bedding in every store and of course unicorn toys galore.
To celebrate National Unicorn Day, we were sent My Unicorn Garden and Unicorn Charm Jewellery from Interplay set to review.
My Unicorn Garden is a magical grow and play set which allows you to plant a home for the stunning white unicorn and fairy friend and help them make a wish in the wishing well!
In the box is a bowl for the garden, a plastic unicorn, a plastic fairy, a wishing well, an arbor to build, some decorative plastic flowers, coloured gravel and some grass seed. You do need to purchase some compost to start building the set and then you are ready to go.
Simply add the compost to the bowl provided, build the arbor by clipping it together and then decorate to your taste with the accessories provided.
Once you have it looking the way you want it to, add the grass seed to the remaining soil and water to make it grow.
The beautiful My Unicorn Garden has an RRP os £19.99 ans is also fantastic for getting children interested in looking after and nurturing plants, plus the fairies and unicorn offers hours of play-time.
The Unicorn Charm Jewellery set creates a stunning bracelet with beautiful unicorn charms and beads, so you can wear the magic all day or share it with a friend.
Even Isaac wanted to try this one and both him and Eliza have been busy making necklaces and bracelets. The set comes:
- 60 x Bicone Beads (2 colours)
- 200 x Round Opaque Beads (5 colours)
- 30 x Pearl Beads (3 colours)

Loads of great unicorn products there! I love the garden and my daughter would enjoy making it.
I did NOT know there was a national Unicorn day and now I feel like I missed out! I love the unicorn shaped bowl thing and it looks like Eliza had so much fun
This is just the sort of set my niece would love – she’s unicorn mad and won’t be parted from her favourite unicorn.
I nearly bought the garden kit for my daughter’s birthday, but thought at 4 she was probably a little bit young for it. I think it is fab though 🙂
