At the weekend we were invited to attend BBC Countryfile Live by Summit International.
I have to confess Summit International are not a brand I have previously heard of, or so I thought – they are actually an outdoor leisure brand specialising in camping equipment and outdoor gear, many of which are sold in some of the well-known supermarkets.
This was Summit’s first time at Countryfile Live and it was clear that their products are very popular as I had my eye on a set of camping chairs which promptly sold out right under my nose!
Summit International is a leading UK manufacturer and distributor of multiple outdoor living and leisure brands including sustainable and environmentally friendly drink bottles, the B&Co collection of Al-Fresco dining essentials and the Pop! Range, which provides everything you could need for a successful picnic or camping trip.
Our favourite products
My Bento Pure Bottle
We are big supporters of Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) and their fight to keep beaches clean and free from plastic pollution. Summit’s MyBento Pure glass bottles are made from BPA free borosilicate glass and do not contain the toxic chemicals found in everyday plastics.
Plus, for each MyBento Pure bottle sold in the UK, Summit will donate 50p (or £1 for the premium bottle) to the Marine Conservation Society in support of the #StopThePlasticTide appeal. The appeal aims to reduce plastic pollution in the ocean which is causing a detrimental impact on marine life.
Alfresco Smokeless Barbecue Grill
Perfect for camping and festival season, this clever tabletop barbecue doesn’t require any electricity or gas – it runs on just four AA batteries and uses up to 85% less charcoal than conventional barbecues and heats up so quickly that you will be ready to cook in under five minutes.
The battery operated air flow system gives you full control of the heat intensity, making your cooking more accurate, and just 250 grams of charcoal will give you 40 to 100 minutes of cooking time – plus, you can whack it in the dishwasher afterwards!
Pop Space Savers
I don’t know about you, but I am very limited on space in my house and much as I love a huge cool box to take out with me for picnics, I have nowhere to store it.
POP is a space-saving collection designed with efficiency in mind, ideal for use in caravans or at home where space is limited. This multi-purpose range includes collapsible bowls, buckets, kettles and cool boxes that are easy to clean and ideal for travel.
Hydralite water activated lighting series
During the event, Summit was also previewing its innovative Hydralite water activated lighting series, which is due to launch next year and is a real game changer.
Built to be safe, robust and long-lasting, HydraLight provides a reliable light and power source even in the most challenging conditions. HydraLight doesn’t rely on electricity from the grid or batteries, it uses revolutionary water activated technology that is easily accessible and sustainable. As it is activated by natural resources, salt and water, the lighting series has little negative impact on the environment and is perfect for use in emergencies as well as in adventures in the great outdoors.
Keep an eye on the blog for reviews coming soon!

I have the BBQ! I did a review on it for National BBQ Week! It’s actually really nifty, and we got so much cooked on it – we should really have another BBQ!
