Get Kids Reading with Sooper Books Free Online Library!

Homeschooling week one is complete and its safe to say it has been a learning curve for us.

In our house we have started the day with PE with Joe on YouTube, which has seen both my husband and I join in……….we are aching in places we had forgotten existed.

Lessons haven’t quite gone the way we would have liked. Sebby is happy to do his Maths workbooks, but English is another story, whilst Eliza is happy to do English but not enjoying the maths as her way of doing long division is very different to the way I learned, which is causing frustration for us both.

One thing the kids do all enjoy is reading, but we are zooming through all the books we have in the house, so have started looking for an alternative source for books and bedtime stories to read.

If you are struggling with school work at home, reading once a day is one of the best ways of keeping your child’s brain active, and will have a direct impact on our child’s ability to learn effectively when they go back to school. Sooper Books has launched their Get Kids Reading Campaign which has a number of helpful resources for parents to get their kids reading.

  1. This looks great, I have seen a lot of businesses offering things free at the moment to help kids and parents get through the quarantine, its so nice to see everyone doing what they can to help.

  2. I’ve never heard of this before but it looks great. I would have loved this when i was younger. It’s a great way to keep the kids occupied as we are now all stuck indoors

  3. Oooh Oooh. Love seeing your process. One of your story ideas just pinged a new article that I read and haven’t been able to keep out of my head but it didn’t immediately strike me as picture book. But now I see the path. Glad my antenna was up. Day 29: Check! Gotta go!
