We are big fans of Little Live Pets in our house, having quite a collection, including mice, birds and even a hedgehog.
Little Live Pets are realistic animal toys that just love to interact with you and there are several species in the collection.
Now there are new Lil’ Dippers – fish that magically swims away in a fish tank.
We were sent the Little Live Pets Lil Dippers Fish Tank Playset to review.
In the box:
- 1 x Fish tank
- 1 x Unicorn Fish
- 1 x Magnetic fish Feeder,
- 2 x tank accessories
- Instruction manual
Setting Up:
It takes next to no time to set up, simply remove the packaging, attach your ornaments to the base of the fish tank and fill it with water.
Next, dip the magic Lil’ Dippers packaging into the water and watch as your Lil’ Dipper swims around out of the pack.
With realistic side-to-side and up-and-down motions, these fish are so lifelike and interactive. They swim around for a good five minutes on their own, before going to sleep. To reactivate, simply put your hand in the water to activate the sensors.
Each comes with a magnetic feeder, that your fish will follow around. There are 3 characters to collect, each with their own unique pattern and personality!
My only negative feedback to the set is that the tank does not come with a lid, so make sure that you put in somewhere that it won’t get knocked over and spilled.
The Little Live Pets Lil Dippers Playset has an RRP of £24.99 and each individual Lil Dipper is £12.99.

Oh wow this looks so cute! My daughter would love this! And great tip about the lid. I love that it is so simple to set up too.
This looks like such a fab set apart from the fact that it doesn’t come with a lid – a bit of a design flaw there! We love Little Live Pets!
My kids would totally love having the lil dipper live pet for themselves. I think the selling point in this is the magnetic feeder, I would definitely would love to have a go at that
What a unique playset! So bright and colorful. The magnetic feeders would make it look so realistic. Thanks for your honest review. Will recommend this to my cousin. Her daughters would love to have this.
I do have one it is very fun to play with my daughter says she loves it but what was the black stuff in the tank in the video
I have never seen anything like this but it seems like such a cool idea to teach kids how to look after a pet before getting a real one x
if you buy the little dipper fish on their own would they swim in a normal bowl? or is there a special design to the fish tanks? thanks
You can use any water container! So you can set up a 3- 5 gallon tank with light and put a couple fish in there. How easy! And better since this tank doesn’t have a lid.
Can you comment on how much your child has played with this over time? My girls have been begging for this but I’m imagining that it’s the kind of thing that will be so much fun for a day or two and then will be ignored.
The novelty wore off very quickly If I am honest as we have a real fish tank. My granddaughter likes to watch it, but she os only 2
