From years of experience, finding the right car seat for both your child and your car can be a huge challenge, especially when rules and regulations change.
Buying the wrong child car seat could mean you’re putting your child’s life at risk, so it is important to do your research first.
When you first have a baby, it is common to buy travel systems, where the car seat can be attached to the pram / pushchair base so you don’t have to wake the baby getting them in and out of the car.
As children get older, you should choose a child car seat based on your child’s height and weight and it is worth remembering that children must use a rear-facing seat until they are 15 months old and longer if possible, as it is much safer.
We were introduced to the Joie 360° car seat at The Baby Show last October and fell for its practicality. After spending years contorting myself into various shapes as I tried to wrestle an unwilling toddler into their car seat, this turning traveller spins forward, rearward and everywhere in between!!
This means that you can spin the car seat round to face you, whilst you strap your baby into it!!
This Group 0+/1 car seat begins as a rearward facing infant seat up to 18kg, then can convert to a forward facing seat from 9-18kg.
Installing the Joie 360°
The car seat comes with an integrated load leg, which is folded under the seat when you get it out of the box. When you fit the car seat to the isofix points, make sure this is at its shortest height, as you can adjust it to the correct setting after fitting.
When the car seat is fitted correctly, the indicator on each side and on the load leg will show green. If they show red, the seat is not fitted correctly.
Joie 360° – Comfort and Practicality
Both Abbey and Lilah love this car seat and it is easy to see why!
This spinning safety seat turns all around for accessible child harnessing and effortless rearward-to-forward transitioning, by a simple, one-handed press of a button.
Abbey has a Nissan Juke and Lilah’s previous car seat took up so much room that the passenger seat had to be at its most forward setting, so could not be used. The Joie 360° car seat is one of the smallest rotating car seats available and the load leg fits snuggly to the rear seat, whilst the base is secure and streamlined so the passenger seat can be used as normal.
The seat itself has 5 recline positions, which can be used both rearward and forward facing, ensuring that your baby is comfortable and happy whether awake or asleep.
Other great features of the car seat are the plush, deluxe cushioning and washable fabrics and built in side ventilation to keep Lilah cool.
The final feature we love is the Grow Together™ multi-height headrest and harness system which adjust simultaneously. This means that the car seat does not require any harness re-threading which I always found a challenge, remembering which bit went where!
The Joie Spin 360 Group 0+1 Car Seat has an RRP of £199 and is available from Very.co.uk

I absolutely love the practicality of this car seat, my niece has outgrown hers and we are looking for a replacement.
This looks like a comfortable car seat which is great news for the kids. You’re so right about getting the right one because it’s so important for safety x
It really pays to invest in a decent car seat – not a good idea to cut corners with this kind of thing. This one looks really good quality.
A good quality car seat is essential when it comes to the safety of your child. Your daughter looks very comfortable in this car seat, very secure in the same time.
She’s getting so big! I love the idea of this seat and wished they had them when mine were small, the amount of times i’d find myself in impossible positions and resembling a contortionist just to clip them in, and don’t get me started when they go rigid and won’t bend into the seat!!
Love the look of this . Sounds like a pretty awesome car seat . Especially from newborn as I think we all worry when they are that little don’t we
This looks like a great car seat especially since it has indicators on. Your daughter looks like she is so comfy in it as well
The car seat sounds like it’s not only safe but also nice and comfy for little ones. It’s great that it reclines in 5 different positions too! Perfect if the little one falls asleep.
I really love Joie car seats and we have time for al of our children! I haven’t tried their 360 version though, but it looks amazing and so helpful 🙂
That is a really cool care seat. I like all the features that would allow it to “grow with your child.” Looks very sturdy too! I wish car seats were these nice when my kids were still babies.
This looks fab!! I remember when my kids were babies child car seats were a minefield!! Do many to choose from.
These are great tips. Packing when moving can be so stressful!Car seats are such important things aren’t they? It is great that this sounds like a wonderful car seat which really offers safety and security.
Does the car really fit in a Nissan Juke? Having trouble finding one that does
Hi, yes it does!!
how much space does the front passenger have? myself and my partner are quite tall. thanks. x
Depends on the car. There is plenty of room in my Peugeot, but my daughters Nissan Juke was a tight squeeze
for a nissan juke. (probably would of helped if i said that)
