Take the summer reading challenge with Books2Door

We are on countdown to the summer holidays and after 18 months of unsettled schooling, being in and out of lockdown, I am keen for as normal a summer as possible.

One thing I will be encouraging the kids to do is read, as continuing reading throughout the holiday’s the perfect way for your child to pursue his/her individual interests and at the same time maintain and strengthen important reading skills such as vocabulary and comprehension.

We recently took the Summer Reading Challenge with Books2Door, who select books that they know children love, from treasured classics to the latest must-have series and all at affordable prices

The kids chose a box set each, with Sebby opting for Star Wars Jedi Academy, Eliza choosing the Ben Miller series and Isaac the Kid Normal books by Greg James.

Now, thanks to Books2Door.com, you could win £50 to spend on the kids books of your choice

  1. The Prophecies Begin Warriors would be at the top of the list and also Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy Trilogy.

  2. They would choose the The Mysterious Benedict Society Complete Series 5 Books Collection and the Robin Stevens, A Murder Most Unladylike Mystery 8 Books Set.

  3. For me I would be choosing a Tom Gates set for my son however he has already read a few so I would be trying to find the ones he has not read yet

  4. I would get the Enid Blyton The Magic Faraway Tree Collection 4 Books Box Set for my niece. As I loved those books when I was a kid.

  5. These Reading Champions Developing Readers 30 Book Collection Level 6 to 10 (Series 2) – Ages 5-7 – Paperback would be perfect for my son x

  6. I’d buy a couple of copies of the Harry Potter 4 Colouring Books Collection Set – Paperback – Warner Brothers.

  7. Logan is 2 and is a big fan of Winnie the Pooh (the original 1964 version) cartoon but doesn’t have any of the books, I know he would love the Pooh Collection. He also loves taking books out of boxes, organising and rearranging them then putting them back!

  8. Gosh, I think I would be tempted to keep the prize for myself! The kids would definatewly chose Scott prigrim sd they liked the film and perhaps Wolf Brother as they love wolves at the moment!

  9. What absolutely brilliant value books they have – We love Ruby Redfort so the whole set pack of those looks amazing! My daughter would also love Mallory Towers as she read one of the set for school and wanted to know more.

  10. So difficult to choose, but Usborne’s beginners history 10 book set and their ‘First Words’ in different languages books look good 🙂

  11. Hello, I don’t have children but if I was lucky enough to win, I think I might buy the Jane Austen collection as I would like to read her books. Thank you for the chance to win.
