Review: Night Owl Coverless Duvet

One of my least favourite household chores is changing the bedding, especially grappling with the duvet covers, so when I was offered a Night Owl Coverless Duvet from the Fine Bedding Company to review, I jumped at the chance.

The lightweight fibre fill Night Owl duvet is available in both Summer 4.5 tog and All-Season 10.5 tog and is a re-imagination of the traditional duvet.

The Night Owl comes complete with its own super soft cover, meaning you’ll never need to grapple with a duvet cover again.

For even more convenience, the Night Owl duvet is machine washable and it’s quick to dry in just 90 minutes.

What we thought of the Night Owl Coverless Duvet

I loved the idea and despite feeling lightweight, the duvet was lovely and soft and warm.

My issues arose when it came to washing it.

We have a large 10kg washing machine and I struggled to fit the king size duvet inside it. It did wash ok, but when it came to the spin, it was too waterlogged and heavy, so my machine was unbalanced and would not spin.

We ended up letting it drip dry as much as possible on the washing line and then putting it in the tumble drier.

I would consider investing in the single versions for the kids, however, as they are much lighter for the machine, but would advise you to use the laundrette if you are considering getting anything large.

The Night Owl Coverless Duvet is priced between £40 – £70 and is available from https://www.finebedding.co.uk/.
