Project 365 2022 – Week 11

With my husband away on his brother’s stag weekend in Budapest and then straight to a work conference in Cardiff, I am flying solo for most of the week. Thankfully, with him being away, I have is car so am not stranded. It does make juggling school runs and work a bit tricky.

Here is our week:

Sunday 13th March

Eliza had a friend to stay overnight and they woke me up at 5am, having had no sleep. Those days are well and truly gone for me and I was a mean Mummy, insisting that Eliza go to her swimming lessons that day – which she managed with no issue.

My only picture from the day was of a primrose we spotted whilst dropping her friend home.

Monday 14th March

I am still working almost full time, so it was straight into work from the school run, which Lilah insisted on being carried for.

Isaac and Eliza had scouts in the evening and I noticed that my favourite tree, a Magnolia, was out in flower already.

Tuesday 15th March

Another work day and then it was straight to pick Sebby up from school for his eye test.

Thankfully he has perfect vision, so no glasses for him.

Wednesday 16th March

The kids are fundraising for red nose day on Friday, so after work we headed to Sainsbury to pick up our red noses.

We were a little disappointed that we couldn’t choose which design we wanted, but Sebby was very happy with his Sloth, Eliza less so with her hippo.

Thursday 17th March

The day that has been coming for some time – my car has finally died!

It overheated on the way to work and I had to stop and let it cool down and then did it again with a couple of minutes. Thankfully, I managed to get it home, but my new car cannot come quick enough.

Friday 18th March

It was an early 3am start for me as I had to take my husband to the bus station as he was off on his brother’s stag do to Hungary. Luckily for me, it also means that I have his car for the weekend,

The kids were excited to go to school as they had mufti day and a cake sale after school, whilst I attend the opening the new Waste Not Want Not cafe, after they received a Tesco Community Grant.

Saturday 19th March

With my husband away, I took the day ooff work as Isaac and Eliza had a night hike with scouts, and I had to get them to deepest, darkest Dorset mid-afternoon, after a long search for a new mess tin for Eliza, who also conned me out of a Percy Pig hat set in M&S.

Sebby has been asking to have a friend to stay for the last year, so this was the perfect opportunity.

We picked him up and went straight to McDonald’s for dinner, before heading home for game time and then a film and popcorn. Loved their plan for the next morning!

  1. Ohh! That was a bit naughty of Eliza waking you so early.
The magnolia tree is so pretty and the red noses are so cute.
It sounds like Sebby had a great plan for fun with his friend x

  2. Such a lovely happy photo of Lilah being carried by Eliza on the school run. Love seeing magnolia trees in flower at this time of year. Sophie was disappointed with the red nose she got too. Hope Sebby enjoyed having a friend stay over and that you weren’t woken up quite as early as with Eliza’s sleepover. That plan for the morning made me smile. #project365
