It is been a bit of a dreary week weather wise, although we did get treated to two spectacular thunderstorms.
Isaac is my social butterfly, as he attended yet another birthday party with his friends, but other than that, it was an uneventful week of work.
Here is our week:
Sunday 15th May
We woke up to a bit of a dreary day and it was a fairly early start as Isaac had a birthday party to attend at Insanity Gaming Arcade.
It is a brilliant place, filled with retro arcade games, which are all free to play. I am going to take the kids there in half term as it works out much cheaper than taking them to a seafront arcade.
In the afternoon, and after yesterday’s loss at the FA Cup, it was a better result for the women’s team and we beat Man City 3-2.
Monday 16th May
I was kept awake by storms during the night and we were treated to some quite spectacular lightening strikes, which turned the sky a blue / purple colour.
In the morning I took part in a Red Cross Resilience Training Course through work and then the afternoon saw me presenting a cheque to the Friends of Dolphin, who raised money on our charity book stand. It is a really worthwhile cause, as their boat takes disabled people and their carers out on trips around Poole Harbour for free.
Tuesday 17th May
Our refit at work is really starting to take shape now and they have ripped out four checkouts, replaced them with four new self service ones and move our currently self service up.
It looks really bare at the moment, but it’ll look fab once it is finished.
Wednesday 18th May
My preschool day. Thankfully it was dry all day, but after three years of no thunderstorms, we had our second one of the week.
It wasn’t quite as spectacular as the previous one, as it was dusk, but we did see a couple of forks of lightening.
Thursday 19th May
I have been saying for weeks that I need to get the boys haircut and I finally found a spare hour to get them booked in.
Sebby is finally sitting still for his now, but still pulls the best faces when it is being done. Today he finally let them out gel in his hair too.
Friday 20th May
Eliza and Sebby were very happy that it was Mufti Day to raise money for the PFA.
Saturday 21st May
A work day for me, but the kids got stuck into a Gross Science set that we were sent to review.
I came home to fake snot, poo and slime. They had lots of fun making it though!!
How was your week?
We have had lots of rain here too but thankfully only on an evening. We had powercuts Sunday night because of the weather.
The arcade place sounds like a lot of fun, we have one near us which sounds pretty similar, the kids love it.
The Friends of Dolphin sounds like a wonderful charity and the shop is looking great. x
Great lightning strike photos. Ours were quite spectacular too. This year’s been quite quiet on the party front here. I think N’s in January was the only one this school year so far.
Love the photo of the lightning and the one of Eliza trying out the Gross Science set. Mufti days are always fun. #project365
The weather was certainly dramatic that week! I love the photo of the lightning, I’d love to capture something like that. #project365
