Are you worried that your child spends too much time in front of a screen?
Let me introduce you to Yoto, a screen free, interactive audio platform for children aged 3-12 years, which inspires, educates and delights.
This fun and visually appealing Yoto Player lets children listen to stories, music and content independently, helping them develop their literacy and listening skills, whilst giving them a pixel display to bring the stories to life.

In the box:
- Yoto Player
- 7-Card Starter Pack of Audio Cards
- Welcome Card
- EU/UK Mains powered Magnetic Charging Dock
- Quick Start Guide

How to use the Yoto Player
The Yoto Player is easy to set up, simply download the Yoto app, available on App Store and Google Play, pair your phone and set up your account.

The left hand button controls the volume by twisting left and right. The right hand button controls the brightness of the Yoto player by twisting, or press the button to play Yoto daily and to change it to the clock setting.

There is a guide to how to use your cards the first time you use them, but, in a nutshell, Yoto cards have an NFC chip in them, which is read by your player when the card is inserted. This is like a key that unlocks the audio content and once the story has downloaded to the player, it will be installed as a file on your app, meaning it can be played at anytime, even if you lose your card.

The story cards are lovely and sturdy, a bit like credit cards, so cannot be broken easily, plus the app also features nursery rhymes for younger children.

The Yoto is especially good for bedtime, as it creates a relaxing bedtime routine. Kids look forward to listening to a different bedtimes stories every night and you can set the day and night settings so it can be used as a clock, a nightlight, for white noise and even to wake kids up in the morning. My favourite setting is for a crackling fire, that would definitely send me to sleep!

The Yoto Player is there to grow with your child and there are hundreds on new story cards to choose from, including family favourites Julia Donaldson, Peppa Pig, Disney, Marvel and many more. We cannot wait for the Christmas Advent Stories, which has 24 festive tales for the countdown to Christmas

The Yoto Player has an RRP of £89.99 and is a recommended toy from the Good Play Guide.

At the moment my 2.5 year old is obsessed with books at night. We’re finding it hard to get him to sleep. This could be a good alternative to us leaving him with a story and to help him to sleep. Lisa @ lovefromlisa.com
