It’s not been a very eventful week in our house, pretty much work, work work.
I have finished booking and paying for my husband’s birthday surprise for his 50th in July. Just got to finish paying for Isaac’s school trip to France and Sebby’s residential now. It feels like a never ending request for money at the moment.
Here is our week:
Sunday 5th March
Our final day of the hen weekend. We treated ourselves to a Wetherspoons breakfast, although we were very disappointed with it, before driving back to Bournemouth.
I have become quite adept at driving a minibus and would happily do it again. I loved being higher up as you can see so much more.
Monday 6th March
Back to work with a bump!
The only problem with having time off, is that there was more work to be done, but I managed to get it done in good time and my new Community grant poster I have been chasing since January finally arrived!
Tuesday 7th March
The pre-school mascot has been with Lilah for the weekend, so we took a picture of Pirate Pete with Willow, as we have a wall with all the children’s pets displayed on it for this terms topic.
We were under a yellow weather warning for snow, but all we got was rain, much to everyone’s disappointment.
Wednesday 8th March
Isaac is studying GCSE Drama and as part of his course he gets to go and watch performances at local theatres.
Tonights was “Teechers” at Lighthouse Poole and him and his friends came out buzzing as it had been so good.
Thursday 9th March
Eliza has been complaining that she was struggling to read some words on the boards at school, so we booked her in for an eye appointment.
She has now joined Isaac and I in needing glasses, although she is slightly short sighted, whereas Isaac and I are long sighted. More money!!!!
Friday 10th March
Willow is shedding her skin again, although doesn’t quite have the mane of skin she had last time.
Saturday 11th March
My husband and I actually have the same day off for a change and we finally put the finishing touches to Eliza’s room.
I bought her new curtains and a blind and Eliza used her birthday money to buy some new bedding.
Our next project is the boys room!
How was your week?
Love Eliza’s room. Looks so calming and relaxing. Poor N has never had his decorated. It’s a random mix of old furniture, dodgy old green curtains (weird window alcove makes curtains a nightmarE) and magnolia. It really needs painting. Maybe we should do it in the summer and get him to decide now what he wants in it.
It sounds like you need the work, work, work to pay for everything that you have coming up.
Well done with driving the mini-bus, it sounds like you had fun.
It sounds like seeing the performances is a good perk of doing GCSE drama.
Eliza’s room looks fab! I love all the Harry potter things on her shelves. x
Must be nice to get some time off together. Eliza’s room looks great, hope her glasses help with her school work and board reading. I’m supporting A Level Lit so lots of plays for me to see with my student, an added bonus of this job.
Lovely that Isaac gets to see shows as part of his GCSE. I remember seeing Teechers when I was at university and enjoyed it. Glad Isaac enjoyed it too. Eliza’s room looks lovely. I love the bedding. #project365

I hope you caught Eliza’s eyes early, I went for years before admitting I couldn’t see the board! I love driving our Galaxy, maybe I could manage a minibus! #project365
Your room looks so calming and relaxing. Her glasses help us for school work and board reading.
