Project 365 2023 – Week 15

This week we enjoyed a visit to Birmingham to see Spongebob the Musical and had a family wedding to attend.

After a week of wind and rain, the sun shone brightly for the wedding and their fun surprise of alpaca coming along for the special day was a lovely surprise.

Here was our week?

Sunday 9th April

Easter Sunday and despite being a bit older, the kids still insist on an Easter Egg hunt around the garden – I think I need better hiding spots though, as they collected them in under 5 minutes.

With the kids full of chocolate, I left cooking a roast until late afternoon and went out for a walk to build up an appetite.

It was well worth the wait!!

Monday 10th April

Easter Monday and the weather was a wash out, so I finally watched Hamilton on Disney+.

Eliza has been singing the songs for weeks, so it was nice to finally put the songs to the story. The first half was definitely better than the second as I felt the story slowed down in the second half.

Tuesday 11th April

Back to work and needed to refill and tidy up our charity bookstand.

Wednesday 12th April

We had an early start to drive to Birmingham, where we had been invited to attend the launch of the new Nick watch and see Spongebob the Musical.

Spongebob the Musical wasn’t quite what we were expecting, but was full to the brim of laugh-out-loud moments and fun songs as the occupants of Bikini Bottom worked to save their town from an erupting volcano.

Thursday 13th April

I wish the weather would make up its mind. We seen to be lurching between torrential rain and wind one day, to warm sunshine the next.

We made sure Willow made the most of a sunny day!

Friday 14th April

We have a family wedding this weekend and Kian arrived home from Bristol, much to the delight of Sebby, who has his favourite back!

Saturday 15th April

After the torrential rain of yesterday, the skies cleared in time for the wedding of my sister in law and it was one of those rare occasions where the kids are all together at the same time.

Get them together and there is always mischief to be had!!

I cannot wait for the official photos for the ones of us all together.

  1. Alpaca’s at a wedding! That is just brilliant!
It sounds like you had a lovely Easter weekend. Hamilton is so good, I watched it a little while ago for the first time and now I am constantly singing the songs.
I didn’t know Spongebob had been made into a musical, it sounds interesting.
What a lovely photo of the kids. They look very smart all dressed up. x

  2. The wedding sounds lovely. How nice to be able to get some decent family photos. I’ve not seen Hamilton. Everyone raves about it, but the snippets I’ve caught on tv shows/the internet, I’ve not been that fussed about the songs and all the rapping.

  3. What lovely photos of the kids together and they all look so smart. I’m not a fan of musical style things and no idea what it’s about or what songs are in it. SpongeBob musical sounds interesting
