Project 365 2024 – Week 26

After the busyness of the last couple of weeks, things are a bit calmer now.

Here is our week:

Sunday 30th June

Eliza has a talent show coming up at school, where she is performing Six, from Six the Musical. She is singing the part of Ann of Cleves, so we headed to primark to find a red dress for her.

I love this Cowboy hat, sadly it didn’t fall in my basket, but I might head back and get it for Camp Bestival.

Monday 1st July

A busy day for community projects for me as it is a change over day for our Stronger Starts grants.

It always surprises me how customers vote, but this current round all the charities were within 500 tokens between them. Just need to add them to the other Poole stores to see who us getting which grant.

Isaac has secured himself a job for the summer and started his lifeguard training tonight.

Tuesday 2nd July

I spent my day off catching up with a friend from work who moved stores. She suggested a coffee shop in Poole which I had never heard of, Riptide in Poole.

I had a biscoff frappe and it was so good – will definitely be back. Once we had finished we headed to the shops and I managed to find something that actually fits in the Zara sale.

Wednesday 3rd July

Just a couple more weeks until we break up from pre-school and some of our older children are off enjoying school visits, so it was a quiet one.

We found a Supertato book that we bought Lilah for Easter, so she insisted that Eliza read it to her.

Thursday 4th July

Voting day and I had to wait until after my shift had finished to vote.

I run our school PTFA and tonight we provided cheese and wine for the school arts festival. The talent of the students always amazes me and tonight’s display was the best yet.

After the arts festival, it was Eliza’s turn to perform in the school talent show. The kids were all brilliant, with K-Pop dancing, musical and acting performances, Bollywood dancing and more. I am very proud to say that Eliza and her friends (the Royaling Stones), came a very respectable 2nd place.

Friday 5th July

The last of the birthday’s of birthday month – my husband turned 51 and back to another year older than me. The kids humour is definitely evolving!!

We woke up to the news that we have a new labour government. I am not convinced they will bring the change this country needs, but they can’t do any worse than the last lot, or can they?

Saturday 6th July

A work day for me and we were busy with people getting their refreshments for the England match. I am pleased to say that Isaac passed his lifeguard course with flying colours.

As for the game………you can see how bored Isaac was from this photo.

Then the penalties, which are no good for my nerves, but thankfully through to the semi-finals and playing the Netherlands on Thursday, with my spell in the sweepstake sadly over (I had Turkey).

How was your week?

  1. Well done Isaac on his lifeguarding pass, and Eliza on her talent show. Bet it was fun to watch. I’m on our PTSA at school, we’ve never done alcohol at events, but we’ve got a goodbye to the old school before it’s knocked down in a couple of weeks, and are doing wine at that. I like the wine and cheese idea.

  4. Well done to Issac with the summer job and to Eliza and her friends with the talent show. I’m not a fan of penalty shoot outs either, pleasant surprise for a change with England though. Happy Birthday to your husband.
