It feels like an uneventful week, but when I look back at some of the photo’s, we managed to fit quite a bit in.
The kids are now back to school and clubs, so everything has gone back to normal after the holidays and rehearsals have started for the musical, Oliver.
Here is our week:
Sunday 15th September
Enjoyed a much needed, relaxing day off with the kids.
Eliza baked some cupcakes and managed to burn her arm on the oven, so made a mad dash to the shop to get some burn gel and plasters and then it was time for our first roast of the autumn.
Monday 16th September
A 5am start at work and it was stock take day, so more staff than usual. Stock take also means that some items are written off before it starts, so I had a good donation of tinned food for the food bank.
Isaac and Eliza have been waiting for the results of their auditions for Oliver. Isaac was over the moon to be cast as Fagin, but Eliza sadly didn’t get the role of Dodger that she wanted, being cast as a character called Charlie.
Tuesday 17th September
Another busy work day and spent most of it catching up on my community projects and donations.
When I got home, Willow wanted to come out of her vivarium and decided to try and climb up one of our chairs.
Wednesday 18th September
Summer is back and in time for my day off!!
I feel like we didn’t make the most of the beach during the holiday’s, so headed down to Canford Cliffs for a walk to Sandbanks and back. It was lovely and quiet, although we did see a few people enjoying their beach huts. We also treated ourselves to a cheeky ice cream.
Thursday 19th September
The warm weather continues, which was a shame as I had to work.
Today is Barney’s 1st birthday and we bought him a ball pit, which he loves already. Not sure if Callan and Chelsea will love it when he realises he can throw the balls all over the floor!!
My only photo’s are of work, so pinching one from our family chat of my husband feeding the guinea pigs at his work.
No – the kids are not getting a new pet.
Friday 20th September
We were under a weather warning for thunder storms, but apart from a couple of distant rumbles, they never came to anything, which is a shame as I love a good storm. The sky was pretty though.
Saturday 21st September
My colleague at another local Tesco was nominated to be a Golden Grant store, which means one of the charities in our blue token vote gets £5000 instead of £1500, so I went along to help. Very pleased with the result, as the customer who found the gold token was a midwife and chose the baby loss charity, SANDS.
In the afternoon we headed to Sussex for Barney’s birthday party and it was lovely to catch up with some old friends and family.
How was your week?
Ah that’s nice about the golden token result. We’re like you, missed the thunderstorms, but the rain has arrived in force on Sunday instead.
Yum, yum. That roast dinner looks so good. I could just eat one now.
Stock day sounds like a good day for the food bank.
What a lovely day at the beach. It sure looked the weather for it.
Aww! Happy birthday to Barney! x
Happy first birthday Barney, that year has gone fast. The golden coin sounds a great idea and what a great charity to win the £5000. Lovely the sun came out for your day off.
