Project 365 2025 – Week 6

It has been a busy old week.

A first birthday party, a work meal, a musical and a long walk at a local beauty spot.

Here is our week:

Sunday 2nd February

The kids had Sunday rehearsals for the production of Oliver, just one week left to go and afterwards we headed to our nephew’s first birthday party.

In the evening, I headed out with work friends to our local Lounges restaurant and treated myself to a delicious Cherry Bakewell cocktail.

Monday 3rd February

It was a very long day as it was my early day at work and then we headed out to Bournemouth Pavilion to watch The Rocky Horror Show.

It was our first time seeing it and we really didn’t know what to expect, but it was lots of fun and full of audience participation.

Tuesday 4th February

An uneventful work day for me.

One of my friends makes teddy bears and I gave her Sebby’s oldl primary school jumpers to transform into a bear.

Safe to say it’s his new favourite soft toy.

Wednesday 5th February

A much needed day off!

I had dentist in the morning, which was not a pleasant experience, but needs must.

We then headed to Hengistbury Head to blow the cobwebs away. It is a lovely walk, with gorgeous views. Can you believe that the last beach hut sold here went for over £500k?

There is a lovely cafe on Mudeford spit, so we enjoyed a nice warming coffee before heading back to pick the kids up from school.

Thursday 6th February

Back to work. I run a charity bookstand and put an appeal out for book donations, so spent the day out and about collecting them.

My store is based near Sandbanks and Lilliput, so its all very well kept and it was lovely to see blankets of flowers starting to appear at the side of the road.

Friday 7th February

I got into work to see half a dozen police cars in the carpark.

We do have an issue with shoplifters, however, no-one in store had any idea why they were there. Luckily the local paper had the answer – a couple of people were unresponsive in the car and a member of public phoned it in.

I am pleased to report that everyone was ok.

Saturday 8th February

A very busy day at work, where I was left on my own for much of the day as the management team were all in meetings. 20,000 steps later.

My only photo was of a couple of certificates that arrived in the post for some fundraising I have done.

  1. Good luck to the kids with the show!
Yum! That cocktail looks so good and it sounds like you had a good time seeing The Rocky Horror Show.
Eek! How scary to arrive at work and see the police. x

  2. That’s a nice idea for a school uniform bear. Hope the final Oliver rehearsals go ok. I’m not a big Rocky Horror Show fan. Mostly because I hate dressing up, and being around lots of people all dressed up.

  3. Oh my goodness a Cherry Bakewell cocktail sounds amazing!
I’m glad you enjoyed the show I went to see it over 20 years ago and Richard O’Brian came on at the beginning to introduce it, I would love to see it again.
I like Sebby’s teddy what a lovely way to recycle old clothing.
Those Crocus are a lovely colour I’ve only spotted yellow ones so far.

  4. Looks like you had a fun night out seeing the Rocky Horror Show. What a lovely idea to have Sebby’s old school jumper made into a bear. Looks like you had a lovely walk along Hengistbury Head and lovely to see the crocuses in bloom. Glad everyone was okay in the car park incident. Hope all goes well for the kids performing in Oliver! #project365

  5. That cocktail looks delicious! Love the teddy bear, and what a great idea too. Sounds like the walk along Hengistbury head was lovely.
I’ve got some crocuses in the garden too, such a joy to see spring flowers after a cold-ish winter.
