Well, that is Easter done!
It was odd it being a late Easter, as the kids were on holiday for the two weeks before and then straight back to school on Tuesday. I have worked all the way through, so didn’t get a break – roll on half term, which is only 5 weeks away.
It was also our second birthday of the year, with Isaac turning 17!
Here is our week:
Sunday 20th April
My one day off over the Easter period, although poor Isaac had to work.
We took a break from finding mermaid tails and headed to West Dorset in search of the elephant trail.
There are 30 to find and we managed 11 in West Bay, which are mostly around the sea front and around the harbour.
Next time we hope to visit Lyme Regis and Bridport to find the rest of them.
Monday 21st April
Sadly, I was back to work, but it was a fairly short, but busy day and I was home just after lunch, not before stopping to take a picture of another postbox topper.
We had plans to have a roast yesterday, but were too late home, so cooked it today instead.
Tuesday 22nd April
Isaac’s work posted some pictures of the Easter fun the kids having swimming lessons has enjoyed. I really miss watching the kids swim, so it was nice to see him at work.
Wednesday 23rd April
Isaac’s 17th Birthday!!
It wasn’t a massive present haul for him as we have bought him a block of driving lessons, but he still did well.
We didn’t get out for a birthday meal either, as he had school and then singing lessons and his Musical Theatre class, but we did manage to squeeze in a birthday cake!
Thursday 24th April
I think I have found the best postbox topper I have ever seen, outside Tesco Express in New Milton.
I really must learn to knit as seeing these really brighten up my day.
Abbey popped in to see Isaac with her present to him……….I love this jumper – I wonder if he will notice if it goes missing LOL?
Friday 25th April
Not a picture from today, but I finally have the pictures from the kids show at The Pavilion last month.
I managed to whittle it down from 50, to 20 with a selection from their performances of Gatsby, Mamma Mia, Wonderwall, Cinderella and Another Show.

Saturday 26th April
Another work day and it wasn’t as busy as I thought it would be.
The ice bucket challenge seems to be going around again and the kids are all nominating each other, so I had to film the kids doing it.
Thankfully they didn’t nominate me this time!
How was your week?
Easter did seem really late, thankfully my youngest wasn’t back at college until Wedesnday. At least it is a short run until half term.
What pretty elephants! I do love those sorts of trails.

Ha ha, N’s just done the ice bucket challenge today over at his cousin’s who’d also been nominated. But instead of a normal bucket, they stood under the JCB’s bucket with a lot of water in being tipped over them, followed up by a coating of flour. Dear me. Thankfully they knew better than to nominate me, as I wouldn’t have done it. Great pictures from the show. Sounds like Isaac had a good birthday
