Project 365 2014 – Week 27

Finally things are starting to calm down in the Chelseamamma household, however we still have great reasons to celebrate.

Callan has a job!  He applied to Asda on Sunday, had an interview on Tuesday and got offered a job on Friday.  After worrying that he may struggle to find something we are all incredibly proud and cannot wait to see him in his green uniform when he starts next Saturday!

The kids are now on count down to the end of term.  I have definitely noticed an increase in tiredness as the meltdowns seem to get longer on a daily basis.  It doesn’t help that my patience levels are on a downward spiral thanks to Sebastian who has produced three more teeth this week, meaning sleepless nights for Mummy.

Saturday saw hubby turn 41 – no longer the same age as me for another 11 months!

Here is my week in pictures:

Project 365, Week 26

I have to admit that I am relieved that June is almost over as I need to slow down a bit.

This week has seen us visiting some of London’s attractions after Britmums Live and Callan’s 17th Birthday – watch out world, we have bought him driving lessons!

It has also seen months of planning come to fruition for the school fete, which got some great feedback.

This week also saw Isaac go on his first school trip to Poole Museum for Pirate Day.  I was worried when I was pulled aside by the teacher but she then proceeded to tell me that Isaac shone on this day – he listened well and was keen to ask everyone a barrage of questions and was brilliantly behaved and polite.

Here is our week:

Project 365 2014, Week 25

To say June is the busiest month in our calendar is an understatement and I will be glad when it is over.

So far we have celebrated Abbey’s 21st and the MIL’s 60th birthday on 6th June, Father’s Day, Sebastian’s 1st birthday on 20th June, my 40th on the 21st June, plus it was BritMums Live this weekend too.

I AM SHATTERED!!

I still have Callan’s 17th birthday on 24th June to go and then our wedding anniversary and hubby’s birthday at the very beginning of July…….really bad planning on my part!!

It has been an absolutely amazing week and I am still buzzing from meeting some of my favourite bloggers at Britmums Live.  I haven’t even thought about what I am going to write about it, although one tip I do have is don’t take the baby as he was completely overwhelmed by the sea of faces in front of him.  He was probably one of the most recognised people there though and definitely helped break the ice!

So here is my week in pictures.

week 25

166.  Hubby and Kian went kayak fishing for a Father’s Day Treat

167.  Sebastian digging in to some Corn on the Cob from the Fathers Day BBQ that we had a day late as the weather was rubbish on the Sunday

Project 365 2014, Week 24

This week saw us continue with Abbey’s birthday celebrations with a VIP trip to Thorpe Park on Sunday which saw us climb to the top of Swarm, which was AMAZING!

If I am honest I could have done with having Monday to put my feet up, but it was back to work in two guises – childminding and helping to run a local network event and then taking the boys to our new climbing wall centre in the early evening.

Tuesday saw me heading to Primarni to pick up some essentials and Isaac decided to try on all sorts of wacky glasses that they had on offer.

Friday we headed to Marwell for their Sunset Party in the Park.  We were met by all sorts of creatures but the giant penguins freaked me out a little!

Here is my week:

week 24

160.  Kian and Isaac about to head into the cave at Rockreef

Project 365 – Week 23

So, its official………. I am now the parent of a 21 year old!

This week has seen Isaac’s Sports Day with, thankfully, no parents race! and on Friday Abbey turned 21 and we enjoyed a lovely family meal out in the evening.

We have been winding her up about her presents for weeks and I think she honestly thought I had bought her something that she would hate, but after unwrapping some small gifts we surprised her tickets for a VIP Experience at Thorpe Park and the watch she has been hinting at for months!

Here are my pictures this week:

Project 365 2014 – Week 22

I have to say that this half term has been brilliant.

We have been on the go all weeks and barely stopped for breath – just the way I like it!

Last weekend we had Bournemouth Wheels Festival where we got to watch Monster Trucks on the beach.  The kids got to attend a Harry Potter themed birthday party which they thoroughly enjoyed too.

We have been to soft play (twice), the park, beach, cinema and a craft festival.  My highlight though was doing something for me for a change.

I got a phone call on Wednesday evening, on the way back from the cinema to say that I had won a trip out on a Power Boat.  Not any kind of Power Boat, but a proper racing boat that was competing this weekend at the P1 Super Stock Grand Prix in Bournemouth, with the actual skipper Arran Scott.

I was terrified and excited at the same time and I cannot wait to tell you all about it……….. lets just say 75 miles per hour on the sea is very different from on land!

Project 365 2014 – Week 21

I cannot believe the kids are on holiday from school already – it only feels like 5 minutes since they were back after the last one!

Last weekend saw us head out to Burton Bradstock for the Spring Tide Festival, where Isaac and Eliza were introduced to the delights of a traditional Punch & Judy show.

Eliza has finally cracked the last hurdle in the, at times painful, potty training malarkey.  By doing a number two she finally earned Rainbow Dash which has barely left her side since.

Tuesday saw Eliza’s best friend, Olive, celebrate her first birthday so we headed out to Peppa Pig World for the day.  The girls were thick as thieves and we were all very impressed with the new double-decker carousel.

Here is our week in pictures:

week 21

138.  Enjoying the Punch & Judy Show

139.  Finally being given Rainbow Dash – he has only been hidden in a cupboard for six weeks!

140.  Enjoying the Carousel with Olive

141.  End of term at swimming so they got to enjoy the slides

142.  Isaac earned a new badge at Beavers

143.  Isaac was a Prince in his school assembly as we proudly watched from the audience.  He remembered all his words and even managed to say “Exotic” properly. (He has been in training for two weeks)

144.  Kian and Isaac enjoying the Bournemouth Wheels Festival.

Project 365 2014 – Week 20

The weather has been fabulous this week and we have spent lots of time outside enjoying the garden and the local area.

This week has been National Walk to School week and we have been taking part in #kiawalktoschool challenge with Tots100 which the kids have loved.  I am definitely going to carry on making challenges to spot things on the school run and already have a few ideas.

Sebastian has made fantastic progress with swimming and is now happy to hold onto a woggle whilst being towed around the pool and can hold onto the side and support himself.  He is not so sure of being given a piggy back in the water but I am sure he will get used to it.

I am really excited to have been chosen as an Official blogger for not one, but two festivals.  This year we are off to Camp Bestival and LolliBop and we have been busy practising putting up tents and finding costumes.

Here is our week in pictures.

week 20

131.  Daddy gave someone their first taste of ice cream.  Safe to say he loved it and kept trying to grab the ice cream out of Daddy’s hand!

132.  Eliza enjoying the slide at the local park

133.  Isaac helping me post some letters asking for raffle prizes for the School Fete.  This was one of our #kiawalktoschool challenges.

135.  Isaac and his bestie Alfie with their model they made at Beavers

136.  Swimming lessons with Sebastian

Project 365 2014, Week 19

We had an amazing, fun filled Bank Holiday weekend full of fun and adventure so it was very disappointing when the kids had to return to school on Tuesday.  Hubby also started work this week too, so I no longer have him under my feet.

Sunday saw us at the Dorset Knob Throw Festival, where we had lots of fun with innuendo filled jokes and some genuine sporting achievements.

On Monday we headed to Blandford for their Food Festival.  There wasn’t just food on offer though, the kids got to try circus skills and watch some old fashioned muskets being fired.

With the kids back at school on Tuesday, Eliza and I headed out to Adventure Wonderland where she finally plucked up the courage to ride a pony.  The look on her face says it all!

Week 19

124.  Knob Cheese with Cumin anyone?

125.  Not sure they will be running away to the circus anytime soom

126.  Riding her first Pony

Lyme Regis

Project 365 2014 – Week 18

After the excitement of Isaac’s birthday week it has been nice to get back to some normality and we have been catching up with jobs around the house in preparation for hubby starting work again next week.

On Sunday it was Isaac’s St George’s Day Parade with Beavers.  The day started well and we were hopeful it would stay dry, but after waiting in the torrential rain for it to start, it was soon called off.  We headed out to the local shopping centre to spend his birthday money after going home and drying out.

Today we headed to the Fossil Festival in Lyme Regis.  It was an amazing day out and the kids learned so much about the local area around them as well as all the fossils that were on show.

Here is our week:

Week 18

117.  Waiting in the rain for the St George’s Day parade to start with his bestie, Alfie

118.  At a local networking meeting – I think we bored him

120.  Eliza takes charge of the vacuuming
