Project 365 2014 – Week 34

I have had a week of work this week and it has been nice to spend time with the children, without having to worry about anyone else, plus I have noticed the behaviour has been better too!

Kian turned 14 on Wednesday and went out to the cinema to watch Guardians of the Galaxy with Dad, whilst I stayed at home with the kids.  He is going to Rockreef on Monday with his best friend for his actual birthday treat as he had to wait until he came back from holiday.

On Thursday we took a trip to London for the Xeno event at London Zoo.  Kian and Hubby then took the tube to Greenwich and visited the Sky Studios experience where they got to pretend they were sporting heroes, or just on the TV.  Hubby even became the new Chelsea first team coach for a split second!

Here is my week in pictures:

Project 365 2014 – Week 32

I am shattered!

I still haven’t recovered from Camp Bestival and I am desperately trying to get the kids back into a routine.  Kian and Isaac are ok and are sleeping later than ever, but Eliza and Sebastian have their body clocks firmly set at 6am!

It has been a busy week for me work wise too.  Monday was spent doing load after load after load of washing and then I was childminding for the rest of the week.  As the weather was so good we had to make the most of it, and looking at the weather this morning, I am glad we did!

Camp Bestival 2014

Project 365 2014 – Week 31

I think this is the first time I have missed the Project 365 linky, but I have a good excuse…….we sat in the middle of a field with no wifi enjoying Camp Bestival.

It is safe to say we had the most amazing time and it is a must do for us next year too, although next time I am taking ear plugs!!

It is always a given with me that it has been a busy week and last week was no exception.  I have been working and because the weather has been so fabulous we have been out everyday to make the most of it.

Project 365 2014 – Week 29

Kian has broken up from school already, Eliza finishes on Monday and poor Isaac has to wait until Wednesday lunchtime.  I have to admit I am looking forward to no school runs for 6 weeks.

I have to admit that this week I have really struggled with the heat.  I have found it cooler to be out and about though rather than sat at home and the air conditioning in the car has been a godsend!!

Last Sunday we attended Mollie’s birthday party at the ice rink in Poole Park and even had a snowball fight in the park afterwards – it was quite bizarre throwing real snowballs when its warm outside and big thanks to Uncle Mark for being the target!

The rest of the week we spent visiting local attractions and making the most of them before the Grockles (tourists) arrive and they get really busy.

Project 365, Week 26

I have to admit that I am relieved that June is almost over as I need to slow down a bit.

This week has seen us visiting some of London’s attractions after Britmums Live and Callan’s 17th Birthday – watch out world, we have bought him driving lessons!

It has also seen months of planning come to fruition for the school fete, which got some great feedback.

This week also saw Isaac go on his first school trip to Poole Museum for Pirate Day.  I was worried when I was pulled aside by the teacher but she then proceeded to tell me that Isaac shone on this day – he listened well and was keen to ask everyone a barrage of questions and was brilliantly behaved and polite.

Here is our week:

Project 365 2014 – Week 22

I have to say that this half term has been brilliant.

We have been on the go all weeks and barely stopped for breath – just the way I like it!

Last weekend we had Bournemouth Wheels Festival where we got to watch Monster Trucks on the beach.  The kids got to attend a Harry Potter themed birthday party which they thoroughly enjoyed too.

We have been to soft play (twice), the park, beach, cinema and a craft festival.  My highlight though was doing something for me for a change.

I got a phone call on Wednesday evening, on the way back from the cinema to say that I had won a trip out on a Power Boat.  Not any kind of Power Boat, but a proper racing boat that was competing this weekend at the P1 Super Stock Grand Prix in Bournemouth, with the actual skipper Arran Scott.

I was terrified and excited at the same time and I cannot wait to tell you all about it……….. lets just say 75 miles per hour on the sea is very different from on land!

146.  Isaac posing aboard a tank at Bournemouth Wheels

147.  Callan arrived for a visit and Sebby bagged first cuddles

Project 365 2014 – Week 21

I cannot believe the kids are on holiday from school already – it only feels like 5 minutes since they were back after the last one!

Last weekend saw us head out to Burton Bradstock for the Spring Tide Festival, where Isaac and Eliza were introduced to the delights of a traditional Punch & Judy show.

Eliza has finally cracked the last hurdle in the, at times painful, potty training malarkey.  By doing a number two she finally earned Rainbow Dash which has barely left her side since.

Tuesday saw Eliza’s best friend, Olive, celebrate her first birthday so we headed out to Peppa Pig World for the day.  The girls were thick as thieves and we were all very impressed with the new double-decker carousel.

Here is our week in pictures:

week 21

139.  Finally being given Rainbow Dash – he has only been hidden in a cupboard for six weeks!

144.  Kian and Isaac enjoying the Bournemouth Wheels Festival.

Project 365 2014 – Week 20

The weather has been fabulous this week and we have spent lots of time outside enjoying the garden and the local area.

This week has been National Walk to School week and we have been taking part in #kiawalktoschool challenge with Tots100 which the kids have loved.  I am definitely going to carry on making challenges to spot things on the school run and already have a few ideas.

Sebastian has made fantastic progress with swimming and is now happy to hold onto a woggle whilst being towed around the pool and can hold onto the side and support himself.  He is not so sure of being given a piggy back in the water but I am sure he will get used to it.

I am really excited to have been chosen as an Official blogger for not one, but two festivals.  This year we are off to Camp Bestival and LolliBop and we have been busy practising putting up tents and finding costumes.

Here is our week in pictures.

week 20

131.  Daddy gave someone their first taste of ice cream.  Safe to say he loved it and kept trying to grab the ice cream out of Daddy’s hand!

132.  Eliza enjoying the slide at the local park

133.  Isaac helping me post some letters asking for raffle prizes for the School Fete.  This was one of our #kiawalktoschool challenges.

134.  We took daddy out for lunch to celebrate his new job, Sebastian just wanted to chew daddy’s nose though

135.  Isaac and his bestie Alfie with their model they made at Beavers

136.  Swimming lessons with Sebastian

137.  At Adventure wonderland – the kids spent ages pulling faces in the funny mirrors

Project 365 2014 – Week 10

This week it has felt like Dorchester is my second home as I have been back and forth almost daily to visit my mum who managed to break her leg in three places.  She is in good spirits though and had another operation on Friday to insert a plate in her leg and is now in plaster.

Hubby has had two interviews this week but despite being promised a phone call on Friday by both companies we have heard nothing.  It is very frustrating and stressful as it would be nice to know one way or the other.

We have made the most of spending time together as hopefully he will be back at work very soon, not that he is getting under my feet or anything ;0)

Week 10

61.  Sorry if you are squeamish – this is mums ankle with scaffolding to support it

62.  Our local ice rink were running toddler sessions for just £4 so Eliza and I released our inner “Elsa” and had fun on the ice.  She preferred sitting on the seal to trying to skate, but who wouldn’t with mum pushing you round at high speed.

63.  We went into Poole for a wander and bumped into the Town Cryer – not someone you see everyday

64.  Eliza patiently waiting for her swimming lesson to start

65.  Eliza made some peg dolls all by herself – I was very impressed with her efforts

66.  I have never had so many comments about an outfit as I did today – all the mums fell in love with her red riding hood cape………the trainers did spoil the look though.

67.  The garden is finally dry enough to get the garden toys back out and the kids enjoyed jumping on the trampoline, swinging and trying to get Kian off the seesaw!

Project 365 2014 – Week 9

It’s March!

How can it be March already?

We have spent lots of time outdoors this week, making the most of Daddy being home and the better weather.  I am, pleased to report he has two second interviews next week and a potential third so our fingers and toes are crossed that he will soon be back to work.

Sebastian has finally produced two bottom teeth after weeks of dribbling like a fountain and he seems a lot happier now they have appeared, although we have had a couple of biting incidents when I have been feeding him – Ouchie!

Here is our week in pictures:

Week 9 - 2014

54.  We went to Poole Park to feed the ducks and enjoy the park.  We just had to have a ride on the miniature steam train

55.  Isaac adores football club and was chasing the ball in this shot.  His passes aren’t very accurate yet, but he really enjoys it

56.  We took Eliza for a walk around Christchurch and she insisted on posing under this bare archway

57.  Swimming lessons with her best friend Olive

58.  We hit the local park whilst hubby had a telephone interview – about two minutes later we got caught in a huge hailstorm and had to dash home, hiding in the porch to keep quiet

59.  A real Proud Mummy Moment when Isaac was invested at Beavers – just look how proud he is!

60.  My cousin Emma visited from London so we decided to show her around a very muddy Moors Valley
